Col Tyagvir Raghava (Veteran), MTech in Tele-communication System Engineering from IIT Kharagpur, comes from a very humble back ground, who always dreamed of becoming an Army Officer.  He started his career from  Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) Nasik in 1984, also worked with Department of Electronics, Government of India, Delhi in 1985. He was also selected for Indian Railways & Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) Bombay.

Since, he always wanted to realise his dream of becoming an Army, he tried for Technical Graduate Entry Scheme and got through Service Selection Board (SSB), Bhopal in 1986. He passed out from Indian Military Academy (IMA) as Lieutenant in 1987.

He served in the Army for around 24years in various command & staff appointments, in areas of militancy to terrorism, in climatic conditions of plus (+) 55-degree centigrade temperature to minus (-) 40-degree centigrade temperatures, in area of high altitudes to jungles, and faced many challenges.

After serving in the Army for around 24 years, he transitioned to Corporate World; which was another challenging decision for him to move from a secure job to an insecure job in 2008. He worked in the IT industry for thirteen years as Vice President & Associate Director till Oct 2021.

Parallelly, he not only transformed his own life but helped others to transform their life through his mentorship programs, webinars, videos and podcasts. His vision and mission are to help people to ‘Unhook from Their Past and Win Life Like a Warrior’.

Warrior in this case doesn’t mean everyone to fight in the battlefield. What he implies that people must fight demons within themselves, demons of Self-Limiting Beliefs, Self-Sabotaging Traits, Fear of Failures, Negative Thoughts, Ignorance etc. To simplify the process and speed up achievement of best results in time bound manner, he has designed a 7-Step Frame Work namely WOW (Wheel of Warrior). He is running his podcast ‘Win Life Like a Warrior’ wherein he has interviewed inspiring achievers from all walks of life thereby helping his audience to find their version 2.0.

Cultural linkages between India and UK are deep and extensive, arising from the shared history between the two countries. There has been a gradual mainstreaming of Indian culture and absorption of Indian cuisine, cinema, languages, religion, philosophy, performing arts, etc.

“Glad to speak to @RishiSunak today. Congratulated him on assuming charge as UK PM. We will work together to strengthen our Comprehensive Strategic Partnership further. We also agreed on the importance of early conclusion of a comprehensive and balanced FTA.” Mr. Modi met Mr.Sunak on the sidelines of the G-20 Summit in Bali. This was the first meeting between the two leaders. The two leaders expressed satisfaction at the state of the wide-ranging India-UK Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and progress on the Roadmap 2030 for Future Relations. The two leaders appreciated the importance of working together in bilateral and multilateral forums, including G20 and the Commonwealth. Discussions touched upon important sectors of collaboration such as trade, mobility, defence and security. Early this year, both countries formally launched negotiations for Free Trade. An India-UK Free Trade Agreement would be a substantial opportunity for our economies and a significant moment in the India-UK bilateral relationship. Trade negotiations will be a priority for both countries as India builds upon the Enhanced Trade Partnership. In parallel to trade negotiations, the India-UK Joint Economic and Trade Committee will continue improving the India-UK trading relationship and addressing market access barriers outside of a trade agreement.

Early this month, formalising the much-awaited India-UK Young Professional Scheme was signed and exchanged by High Commissioner Vikram Doraiswami and Permanent Undersecretary of State for UK Home Office Mathew Rycroft. No more than 3,000 young professionals can avail of the scheme every year. The Young Professionals Scheme, or YPS, is part of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the Migration and Mobility Partnership between the two governments that was signed on May 4, 2021. High Commissioner Vikram Doraiswami informed the gathering at the event that the ongoing Pravasi Bhartiya Diwas in Indore makes the occasion all the more special.

India-EU relations date to the early 1960s, with India being amongst the first countries to establish diplomatic relations with the European Economic Community

A cooperation agreement signed in 1994 took the bilateral relationship beyond trade and economic cooperation. The EU is India’s third largest trading partner, accounting for €88 billion worth of trade in goods in 2021 or 10.8% of total Indian trade. India is the EU’s 10th largest trading partner, accounting for 2.1% of EU trade in goods. In 2022, the EU and India will celebrate 60 years of bilateral relations. India and the EU also interact regularly at the Foreign Ministers level. Both sides have recently instituted Foreign Policy Consultations at the level of Secretaries. A bilateral Joint Working Group on Counter-Terrorism reports to the Security Dialogue, as do the dialogues on Cyber-Security and Counter-Piracy. Both sides have recently agreed to the institution of a dialogue on nuclear proliferation and disarmament as well under the umbrella of the Security Dialogue. An annual India-EU Ad-hoc Dialogue on Human Rights is held in New Delhi, and there is also a Delhi-based Joint Working Group on Consular Issues. In addition, a high-level Dialogue on Migration and Mobility has been instituted at the Secretary level between the Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs and DG Home Affairs. As a bloc of 28 countries, the EU is India’s largest trading partner. The EU is also one of the largest sources of Foreign Direct Investment for India. The India-EU Joint Commission dealing with economic and commercial issues, meets annually, as do its three Sub-Commissions on Trade, Economic Cooperation and Development Cooperation. Some 6,000 European companies are present in India, providing 1.7 million jobs directly and five million jobs indirectly in a broad range of sectors. Indian investments in the EU are estimated at around Euro 50 billion. India and the EU also established an Investment Facilitation Mechanism (IFM) in 2017, under which Invest India has created a single window entry point for EU companies proposing to invest in India. In addition, there are Joint Working Groups on Textiles and Clothing, Agriculture and Marine Products, Technical Barriers to Trade and Sanitary and Phytosanitary Issues, Pharmaceuticals and Biotechnology, and Food Processing Industries, which meet regularly to enhance sector-specific cooperation. The India-EU Science and Technology Steering Committee meets annually to discuss S&T collaboration.

India and the EU set up an Energy Panel in 2005 for greater energy and security cooperation. Separate sub-groups have been constituted under the panel dealing with coal and clean coal conversion technologies, energy efficiency and renewable energy, etc. A Joint Working Group on the Environment has been created for the prevention of pollution, waste minimization, protection of biological diversity, sustainable forest management, and environmental education. An Environmental Forum bringing together academia, business and civil society from India and EU countries to exchange views on specific ecological issues also meets annually. The India-EU Forum has emerged as an important Track II forum for discussion between policy analysts on both sides. It is led by the European Union Institute for Security Studies and the Indian Council of World Affairs and includes academics and think tank participation.

NITI Aayog has been continuously working towards improving India’s ranking in the global indices, including the Global Innovation Index. The Science and Technology Vertical is the nodal department in NITI Aayog concerning improving India’s ranking in the Global Innovation Index.

India has come a long way in the Global Innovation Index (GII), from the 81st spot in 2015 to the 40th spot in 2022 today. GII has established itself as a tool for governments worldwide to reflect upon policies and their impact. It has over the years recognised India’s continuous rise due to the progressive measures taken by the government and industry working hand in hand. The GII is the fulcrum for governments – across the world – to assess their respective countries’ social and economic changes. Over the years, the GII has established itself as a policy tool for various governments and helped them to reflect upon the existing status quo. The country has taken up structural reforms to strengthen its IPR regime, including modernising the IP office, reducing legal compliances and facilitating IP filing for startups, women entrepreneurs, small industries and others. Domestic filing of Patents registered a 46% growth in the last five years. The Indian Government has committed to bolstering the ecosystem of patents, design, trademarks, and GI (Geographical Indication) systems; to encourage innovation, research & development in the country and bring newer inventions and knowledge from India’s heritage systems to the global platform.

Marks (CGPDTM) last year announced that the IP process has been simplified and streamlined than before and also about the re-engineering of the whole process, including new timelines for disposal and shift to digital mode to promote ease of filing and obtaining services. For example, under Trade Mark Rules, 74 Forms have been replaced by 8 Consolidated Forms. CGPDTM has taken special care to expedite the examination of patents, especially for applications filed by Startups, women entrepreneurs, etc. While assessing the impact of measures taken, it is noted that E-filing has increased from 30 % to more than 95 %. India has also seen a rapid increase in the grant of patents and copyrights in the last 5-6 years. The number of patents granted has gone up from 6,326 in 2015-16 to 28,391 in 2020-21, while Trade Marks registration has shot up from 65,045 in 2015-16 to 2,55,993 in 2020-21. Similarly, while 4,505 Copyrights were granted in 2015-16, 16,402 were awarded last fiscal year. These developments have positively improved India’s ranking in Global Innovation Index. India has climbed 33 notches from 81st position in 2015-16 to 48th in 2020. The Office of CGPDTM is located in Mumbai. It functions under the Department of Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce & Industry.

The Controller General supervises the working of the Patents Act 1970, the Designs Act, 2000 and the Trade Marks Act, 1999 and advises the Government on these subjects. The Head Office of the Patent office is in Kolkata, Trade Mark Registry is in Mumbai, and the GI Registry is in Chennai. The Offices of The Patent Information System (PIS) and National Institute of Intellectual Property Management (NIIPM) are in Nagpur. Innovation has been at the forefront of our battle against the unprecedented crisis created by the pandemic. It will be pivotal in driving the country’s resilience and self-reliance, as enshrined in the Prime Minister’s clarion call on Atma Nirbhar Bharat. India is the top-ranked economy in Central and Southern Asia and shows particular strengths in tertiary education and R&D, including global R&D-intensive firms, the quality of its universities and scientific publications. India also over-performs in innovation relative to its GDP. The consistent improvement in the GII ranking is owing to the immense knowledge capital, the vibrant startup ecosystem, and the amazing work done by public and private research organisations. The Scientific Departments like the Department of Atomic Energy, the Department of Science and Technology, the Department of Biotechnology and the Department of Space have played a pivotal role in enriching the National Innovation Ecosystem.

The NITI Aayog has been working tirelessly to optimise the national efforts for bringing policy-led innovation in different areas such as electric vehicles, biotechnology, nanotechnology, space, alternative energy sources, etc. The India Innovation Index, the latest edition released last year by the NITI Aayog, has been widely accepted as a major step in decentralising innovation across all the states of India. A constant thrust in monitoring and evaluating India’s position in the global rankings have been provided by the NITI Aayog, including in the GII. NITI Aayog is the nodal department of GoI for improving India’s performance in the GII. It has been taking several steps in this regard, from the constitution of an inter-ministerial committee to regularly interacting with top-ranking countries in the index to understand and adopt their best practices. To improve India’s ranking in the Global Innovation Index, NITI Aayog has constituted an inter-ministerial coordination committee chaired by its CEO Amitabh Kant. She expressed her gratitude to all the brave soldiers of paramilitary forces and policeforces who provide internal security to their fellow citizens. She said,” India is called the mother of democracy. As a modern Republic, however, we are young. Such a vast and diverse multitude of people coming together as one nation remains unprecedented. We did so with the belief that we are, after all, one, that we are all Indians. We have succeeded as a democratic republic because so many creeds and so many languages have not divided us, they have only united us. That is the essence of India.”

The President remembered all those who shaped the modern Indian mind and also welcomed progressive ideas from abroad, following the Vedic advice.  “Let noble thoughts come to us from all directions”. A long and profound thought process culminated in our Constitution. She pointed out, “Our founding document is inspired by the humanistic philosophy of the oldest living civilisation in the world as well as new ideas that emerged in more recent history. ” The President added the nation will always remain grateful to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, who headed the Drafting Committee of the Constitution and thus had a critical part in giving it the final shape. She urged the country to remember the role of jurist B.N. Rau, who had prepared the initial draft, and other experts and officers who helped make the Constitution. “We are proud of the fact that the members of that assembly represented all regions and communities of India and that they included 15 women too,” the President said.

This year, 44 Awards have been presented in the National Sports and Adventure Awards, 2022. For many months, the Department of Sports has supported most athletes who have received the awards, Ministry of Youth Affairs, Sports Authority of India, the Target Olympic Podium Scheme and the Khelo India Scheme. Legendary Table Tennis player Sharath Kamal is the sole recipient of the prestigious Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award this year. Sharath has been a part of the TOP scheme since December 2018 and has imparted the best infrastructural and equipment training. 

This year 25 Olympic, Paralympic, and Deaflympics athletes have received the Arjuna Awards this year. The Government of India’s flagship Khelo India Scheme has also played a crucial role in giving exposure to these talented youngsters from scratch to the elite level. Among the Arjuna Awardees were– The 11-year-old Indian Chess prodigy R Praggnanandhaa. the Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Awards were given to Naina Dhakad for Land Adventure, and the Rashtriya Khel Protsahan Puruskar, the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Trophy was presented to Guru Nanak Dev University. Other awards given out in the evening include the Dronacharya Award, Dhyan Chand Award for Lifetime Achievement in Sports and Games, the Rashtriya Khel Protsahan Puruskar, the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad trophy as well as the Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award.

A Comprehensive and synergetic whole of Government effort is planned to ensure that the problems facing the logistics ecosystem are viewed in their entirety and solved with an end-to-end perspective to capitalize on the massive infrastructure investments already made and further planned.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently launched the National Logistics Policy, yet another important step towards becoming a developed nation with the National Logistics Policy. India is emerging as a world manufacturing hub, and the logistics Policy would act as a driving and guiding force. India is confident that drone technology will emerge as an important aspect of the transport and Logistics sector, especially in remote areas. The Prime Minister also pointed out that India must bring the logistics cost from 13 per cent to a single-digit number as soon as possible. COVID-19 has displayed the strength of India’s logistics sector in front of the world. Despite many improvements, the government was aware of the limited scope for growth without concrete reforms in the Logistics sector. The key issues affecting the overall performance included gaps in infrastructure which had so far been developed on a sectoral basis, a varied and silo-based legal and regulatory environment, disjointed IT systems, overdependence on road transport, suboptimal use of existing infrastructure due to suboptimal sharing of capacities, lack of skilled workforce, low predictability and visibility in supply chains resulting in heavier than necessary inventory costs and so on. With logistics costs in the country still high (13% of GDP compared to single-digit levels in developed countries), integrated development of the logistics sector was identified as a key area of reform. To achieve this, building a single government institution would oversee and coordinate with multiple and fragmented stakeholders across union governments and states was necessary. It would help develop the logistics sector into a strength for the economy by bringing down logistics costs. This offered huge scope for improvement in the competitiveness of supply chains in India.

Grant of Infrastructure status to Logistics sector- In a major push to the industry, the government granted ‘infrastructure status’ to the logistics sector, providing credit to the exporters at competitive rates and on a longterm basis, reducing logistics costs. A Logistics division in the Department of Commerce was created that allocated the task of “Integrated development of Logistics sector” to the Department of Commerce. The division is headed by a Special Secretary to the Govt. of India. It has been given the mandate to develop an Action Plan for the integrated development of the logistics sector in the country by way of policy changes, improvement in existing procedures, identification of bottlenecks and gaps and introduction of technology in this sector. It adopted a consultative approach for identifying and resolving gaps based on interaction with more than 100 stakeholders in the public and private sectors. The following initiatives have been planned and are underway as part of the consultation: A National Logistics Law that would provide an agile regulatory environment through a unified legal framework for the “One Nation-One Contract” paradigm (single bill of lading across modes) supporting the “One Nation-One Market” agenda has been framed and is under consultation with stakeholders. The provisions of the law will enable the assignment of a unique Logistics Account Number to replace unwieldy registration systems and encourage excellence certification in the currently fragmented market of logistics service providers. It will also promote common terminology, transparency in charges, and better mechanisms for industry-led conciliation and dispute settlement.

To deal with fixed infrastructure development in an integrated and holistic manner, the National Logistics Master Plan that is under development adopts a geospatial approach rather than a sectoral approach to identify gaps and blind spots. The plan aims to augment the inter-modal and multimodal transport mix by converging various ongoing projects/ programs. Conjoined development of related infrastructure (optical fibre cable networks, gas and utility pipelines) is planned to ensure no disruptions at a later stage. It is intended to monitor the Master plan implementation through an Inter-Ministerial Committee (IMC). State and City Logistics plans are proposed to be developed in alignment and synergy with the National programs. In addition, a National Grid of Logistic Parks and Terminals is planned with a unified approach for the coordinated development of Intermodal facilities, promoting intermodal and Multimodal Logistic Parks (MMLPs) as a separate class of infrastructure with a national registry of multimodal facilities to enable price discovery, optimal utilization and facilitate planned development. A modern warehousing recommendatory guidelines and standards for warehousing and related physical assets are being developed to drive interoperability and compatibility. It is also planned to streamline processes for securing approvals/ clearances for setting up warehouses and their grading and certifications for excellence.

To develop a modern and agile fleet of Rolling and Floating stock, the planned steps include local manufacturing of containers, promoting containerization in less than train load and palletization in less than wagon/ truckload, and innovative wagon/ truck design. It is hoped that in the next five years, the targets set by the National Logistics policy will improve India’s ranking in the Logistics Performance Index to 25 and reduce the logistics cost in India by 40 % from 13% to 8% of GDP will be met. This will ensure that the Logistics sector serves as an engine of growth and a key driver for transforming India into a 5 trillion dollar economy.

Latha is shaped by her two decades of experience in Information Technology in the BFSI Domain. From drawing strength from adversity to encouraging others, she has coached and mentored a handful group representing the youth, and cultivated them for the upcoming future, prepared and determined to begin their careers. Latha has completed her engineering in computer science, Master in Cyber Security, and Data Science altogether with 35 technical certifications. With expertise in Production Engineering – SRE, Observability, and AIOps, she has enhanced her skills in leadership roles which enabled her to perform admirably well in her technical domain.

Over two decades of relevant experience and a sharp analytical mind; Latha’s mastery at resolving technical obstacles has encouraged her to foster into technical writing skills; her inner writer gave rise to the book on observability and AIOPS.  Furthermore, she has published many scholarly articles.

Introducing Dr. Sulaiman Ladhani, Consulting Chest Physician and sleep specialist at Prince Aly Khan, Wokhardt and Breach Candy Hospital. For him this is not only a profession but his passion. Nothing gives him more happiness than seeing the smile on his patient’s face when they’re cured. Being in this esteemed and noble profession, he carries more than 20 years’ experience in his postgraduate field of Respiratory medicine and Tuberculosis.

His Clinical area of expertise includes Asthma, COPD, sleep related breathing disorders and Tuberculosis including MDR and XDR tuberculosis. He has done his MBBS from KJ Somaiya medical college and MD in respiratory medicine and tuberculosis from B.Y.L. Nair hospital and T.N. Medical college Mumbai. 

He was a governing board member and the head of department of Pulmonology at Prince Aly Khan hospital. He was the director of Aga Khan health service India from 2004-2012 and the chairman of Aga Khan health board India from 2014-2018. He was also part of the Secretary Maharashtra State anti-tuberculosis association. He is accredited by College of Physician and Surgeons (CPS) and a recognised teacher for diploma in chest and Tuberculosis. 

He was felicitated and awarded Mahatma Gandhi Gold Medal for Outstanding Contribution in Respiratory Medicine, Community Health A Nd Research. In spite of his achievements Dr Ladhani believes that learning is a continuous process and an extremely important stepping stone for success. He participated in various courses from time to time and has completed many courses by the European respiratory society and the royal college of physicians at Scotland. He is also a member of the Indian chest society, European respiratory society, American thoracic society, Indian society of respiratory and critical care and the International association for the study of lung cancer. 

He is academically inclined and has many Publications in reputed index journals and has presented many papers at conferences. He also has inclination towards clinical research and has done may clinical trials   He strongly believes in sharing his expertise and clinical skills for voluntary service to the community and underprivileged. In 2020, Mr. Sanket Bhatt completed his graduation (M.Tech) in Thermal Engineering from National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal. He was awarded with the Institute Medal and the Dr B S Samaga Gold medal for outstanding academic performance in Mechanical Department, NIT Surathkal. He also secured All India rank 10 in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) – Thermal and Fluids (XE) held in March, 2020 conducted by Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. The ACE Academy at Hyderabad honored me a gold medal for this accomplishment in nation level examination.

He was eager to join an R&D organization for an internship to gain industrial experience, so he applied to a few organizations that visited to campus to recruit interns. Fortunately, he was hired as a ‘Mechanical Modelling and Simulation Engineer’ at Baker Hughes’ Wellbore Intervention Department. By collaborating in creative projects in the fields of Design, Optimization, and CFD Analysis, he improved his design and modeling capabilities. His team received the “Best Well Intervention Technology Award 2019” at the World Oil Awards, as well as the “Meritorious Award for Engineering Innovation 2019,” for which he served as the product’s CFD Analyst. This opportunity was critical in laying the foundations of research.

Since March 2021, he’s been working as a CAD Application Developer in The Boeing Company’s Engineering Product (IT & DA) team. He has been responsible for developing Boeing proprietary CAD software as well as customizing third-party CAD tools acquired by Boeing, such as 3DExperience. In addition, he actively engaged in Boeing Innovation campaigns such as Swayam, Innovation to Product etc. to improve business outcomes and add value to the firm. At the Swayam 2021 – Boeing India Hackathon, he received the Jury Choice Award for demonstrating an innovative idea.

As an individual, he has always believed in giving back to society. Boeing India has collaborated with Shishu Mandir, a community based school in Bengaluru to empower communities through education and to offer an ideal learning environment with improved school infrastructure (i.e. STEM lab). For the past two years, he has volunteered 200+ hours for academic teaching and STEM activities at Shishu Mandir. For his excellent efforts at Shishu Mandir, he was designated a “Boeing Global Engagement STAR Volunteer” for 2021 and 2022.

President of India graces the 31 st Foundation Day celebration of the National Commission for Women

The President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu graced the Foundation Day Celebration of National Commission for Women in New Delhi today (January 31, 2023).

Speaking on the occasion, the President said that without women empowerment the society may not flourish the way it should. We have to work collectively towards creating an environment where all women can fully participate and contribute in the socio-economic, cultural and political spheres significantly without any fear or pressure.  Women empowerment is not just an issue of social justice but it is also crucial for economic development. The low participation of women in the workforce is a major hindrance in the overall development of our country. India is the fifth largest economy in the world and now moving towards becoming a five trillion dollar economy. A more active role of women would be helpful in achieving this goal.

Speaking about gender discrimination and inequality, the President said that even today the situation of gender-ratio in many parts of the country is pressing concern. Unfortunate examples of female foeticide are also seen in well-educated parts of the country. She emphasized that it is not only the responsibility of the government but of the whole society to change this situation. She said that while ensuring gender justice, we have to make our development equitable. Our development would be called development in true sense only when the status of women would be equal to that of men.

The President said a question arises that why there was need to create a separate commission for women only. The answer is – we see that our sisters and daughters are flying in space, giving leadership in the armed forces while on the other hand they are becoming victims of domestic violence and facing discrimination and harassment at the workplace.

The President emphasised that the mission of the National Commission for Women is to address the specific problems arising out of discrimination and atrocities against women and to strive for the empowerment of women. She said that the need to create a separate commission for half of the country’s population shows that women are yet to get their due respect and rights. She stressed that only by improving the status of women, the country would be able to make overall progress.

Chairperson, NCW, Ms Rekha Sharma expressed gratitude to the President of India for attending the NCW event and how her exemplary life is an inspiration for women across the country. She spoke on how the Commission has been working for women from every strata of the society and the aim of the Commission is to encourage their social, economic and political participation. She gave details about the various important initiatives launched by the Commission for women empowerment during the past year.

“Hon’ble Prime Minister has paved the  way for the country from women empowerment to women-led empowerment due to which women today are holding several important political and administrative posts. On this occasion, we pledge ourselves to work for the cause of women, society and for the cause of Nation,” said Ms Sharma.

On the occasion, the President received the first copy of the book ‘Sashakt Nari, Sashakt Bharat’ – the National Commission for Women Journey book from Smt Smriti Zubin Irani, Union Minister for Women and Child Development.

Currently a grade 11 student, Vaishvi has brought many accolades and successes to this organization, as the founder and president. STEMatic Leaders has had several large events and initiatives in this short time, garnering the participation of more than 100 youth worldwide, truly making an impact on their academic lives.

Vaishvi is also the Vice President of Work 2 Unify, another youth-led non-profit organization that focuses on philanthropy, fundraising, and volunteering. Vaasa Mimansa has roots in Sanskrit language where Vaasa means home and Mimansa means reflection. It collectively means “Let’s reflect about our choices in our homes”.

Shashank met Shruti Kothiwal , another cofounder of Vaasa Mimansa , a Moradabad girl who have grown up hearing the hammering by artisans across the streets. Shruti has been apprehensive about the dying state of affair and the unrecognised attention that these artisans deserve. Together both synergised to make Vaasa Mimansa mould this traditional legacy of metals into a millennial trend and strive towards an eco-friendly lifestyle.

Their endeavour is to not only make our present more sustainable and healthy with metals that have distinctive anti-microbial properties ,recyclability but also strongly believes in reviving the old age traditions that is barely existing in the streets of cities like Moradabad , Aligarh , Rewari ,Jagadhri etc. After all, good leadership is about positively impacting all stakeholders in the society. After all good business should not just be commercial but driven by ethical ethos too.

By keeping alive these metals they are fulfilling the responsibility to keep our upcoming generations well versed with them. Mr. Kaushik Apoori, the founder  and  CEO  of  Zone  for  Augmented  Reality  Creations, embodies the credo “Express Explore  Enhance”  (Z.A.R.C) and  it  is  what  he  also  explained  to his organisation. He was a seasoned entrepreneur  with  a track  record  in  business  management and operational planning. Dedicated, diligent, and resourceful leader eager to  take on new responsibilities at work with drive and skill is what defines him.

Since he was a young boy, Mr. Kaushik has wanted to construct his own  identity.  His  road  towards exposure and leadership began when he was made a captain in school, which has an amazing incident. When he was young,  his  senior  served  as  his  captain,  and  he  participated  in the marching as a volunteer. The pride of captaining the house,  Kaushik  pleaded  his  senior  to allow him capture the flag out of nervousness and excitement, but  he  refused.  That  is  when he made the decision to forge his own path and build a business around  his  labour  of  love.  His method of analysis is effective, he has a unique manner of accomplishing goals,  and  he  thinks beyond the box.

He felt as like he had been cast into a new universe when he decided to pursue a B.Tech in Electronics  and  Communication  Engineering.  He   thought   that   his   exposure   would   be confined after he realised that there are many talented people in the group and the race he is participating in. However, he just  considered  what  he  must  do  and  would  do.  His  life  and career were impacted by a hackathon he participated in for fourteen days. He entered  the hackathon without adequate direction  or  technical  equipment,  and  he  didn’t  have  a  laptop either. Despite these obstacles, he managed to prevail alone after many  sleepless  hours  spent fighting with other team members. He won the hackathon’s Inspire Award and  received  1324 dollars to help him move on. It was  at  that  point  that  his  dream and  Z.A.R.C. were born.  He held the view that doing it alone isn’t the only option; we should also  take and  join hands  with others.  He  so  carefully  selected  a  team  of  like-minded   individuals   and  effectively  managed his business in  the  face  of  several  obstacles.  However,  he  supported  and  inspired  his  squad the entire way as a team leader.  After  his  name  gained  some  recognition  and  exposure  in college, he made the decision to spread  it,  and  he  later  joined  T-Hub  through  an  internship where he oversaw the internship’s activities while also working to  frame  his  organisation  by engaging with  other  corporations..  His  team  was  always  there  for  him,  in  every  manner.  That is what happened when he made the decision to send his team to T-hub in order to present his proposal to investors. At that point, Mr. Kaushik’s name began to spread in a variety of ways.

He began creating his brand as a mentor, team member, team leader, and  jury member,  all of which helped him become an entrepreneur.

After the pandemic, Kaushik hasn’t even  gone  to  one  class  in  his  B.Tech.  Programme,  but  he still had a good grade and haven’t had any failures.  As  a  result,  the  college  administration  supports him in all of his endeavours, and he keeps his promise.  He  began  building  his  own empire and working on  tasks  with  his  team  members.  He  made  one  adjustment,  which  was that we must wait for an opportunity that will arrive. Kaushik occasionally  had  to  make introductions to others who had ignored  him  even  after  he  made  such  accomplishments  and  made way to many students, but he hadn’t stopped and was of  the  mindset  that  one  should  always be starting something new. He helped several of his juniors by giving them the  finest exposure and opportunities. With the assistance of several incubation centres and innovation ecosystems, he and his team organised the largest  Hackathon  under  his  company,  which  gave them greater visibility and a stronger sense of identity. He merely thought that even  when  you helped someone or got them into a wonderful situation, they might not feel grateful to you even though you know what you accomplished. He  hasn’t  stopped  yet  and  is  continuing  to solidly build his empire so that no one can topple it. The  essential  role  played  by  Kaushik’s parents, particularly his father Mr. Rammohan Apoori, in shaping his career. We can say that Kaushik has accomplished what he had  envisioned  as  a  youngster  and  wanted  to  develop  further and more since he was asked to several events as a guest, mentor, investor,  and  jury member. He has made the decision  to   pursue  his  master’s  degree  and  is  moving  in  that direction. At first, nobody knew Kaushik, but today  he  has  received  the  Indian  Achievers Forum’s Entrepreneur of the Year  Award  for  2022.  His  adventure  is  still  on-going,  and  he  is still on his road to producing more miracles.

To create awareness about good health, fitness and well-being, Indian Achievers’ Forum and First Step Foundation are set to organize the first edition of “Achievers’ Run Mini Marathon” in your hills, in the native areas of Uttarakhand.

Indian Achievers’ Forum and First Step Foundation are the social organisations working towards social upliftment, skill development, women empowerment and training for the last 2 decades. We have also done more than 100 national and international summits. Till date, more than 1.5 lacs people have benefited from our various social initiatives.

Our objective is to motivate the natives, especially, the youth towards taking up sports and physical activities in their list of priorities which can help them achieve more than those who otherwise lead a sedentary lifestyle. We also want to motivate children towards fitness and encourage them to take up sports seriously so that they can explore their hidden talent. Who knows, they may be identified one day and become an asset to the nation.
