Mr. Rahul Majumdar has more than ten years of experience in Cyber Security services and has worked for a number of Fortune 100 companies worldwide. He holds Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Kolkata’s Heritage Institute of Technology. Rahul began his career as an Assistant Professor (ECE) at the Institute of Science and Technology, where he taught all of the subjects he avoided during his college years. This behaviour closely corresponds with his “Passion for winning” weakness, which evolved into one of his most prominent strengths. Notably, he took the initiative to provide free education to hundreds of impoverished children.
Rahul has published papers in the IEEE Digital Library titled “Smart Health Monitoring System measuring vital parameters in emergency situations in real-time” for remotely assisting tens of thousands of elderly patients.
Due to multiple remote attacks and data exposures in Fintechs, his focus shifted to cybersecurity during 2013-2014. Therefore, he decided to pursue a career in information technology and gain execution experience. The path from Electronics professor to Cybersecurity professional was quite difficult. But his focus and zeal for development enabled him to reach the goal.
As an individual contributor, he simultaneously managed multiple cybersecurity assessments and penetration tests. He managed the team and laboured to develop the cybersecurity process and in-house tools. Currently employed as the “Senior Advanced Cybersecurity Architect” for the Honeywell Global Security team.
