One of the key objectives of the foundation is to promote the education of registered valuers. It provides training programs, seminars and workshops for valuers to enhance their knowledge and skills. IOV RVF also conducts research and studies to develop best practices and standards for the Valuation profession. The foundation also provides a platform for valuers to exchange ideas and share best practices. IOV RVF is continuously working to promote the adoption of valuation standards and best practices by the valuers in India.

Another important role of the IOV RVF is to represent the interests of valuers to government agencies and regulatory bodies. It aims to protect the interests of registered valuers and the users of their professional services, by ensuring the recognition of Valuation profession. He came to Andhra Pradesh 49 years ago with intension of writing a book on primitive tribes called Chenchus. In his research he was shocked to see misery, suppression, exploitation of this poor tribals. He was also shocked to found out that only 2% of the government money meant for their development actually reaching them. Therefore he decided not to write a book on chenchus and their poverty instead stayed in Andhra Pradesh established AWARE, to liberate them from ignorance, poverty, exploitation and discrimination.

Started 1975 Nov 05th with 3 villages Dr. Madhavan through his AWARE organization helped 30 lakhs poor people to come out of poverty and social discrimination. He followed an integrated rural development approach but limited his program to the welfare and liberation of tribals, Dalits, women and other weaker sections. AWARE activities spread into 10 states , the strength of AWARE staff is around 1500 consisting of Professionals, doctors, engineers, Post graduates, social activists, volunteers etc., Dr.Madhavan has also established 6 colleges and annually 1500 students get graduated from these colleges. AWARE Established in 100 acres of land a unique HRD Center which trained 15,000 people in various subjects. Dr. Madhavan established and maintained AWARE 6 rural hospitals, a boat hospital and 300 beds super speciality hospital. AWARE health program provides free medical service to 2.5 lakh families annually.

The idea that every problem has at least one workable solution was ingrained in herfrom a young age.

However, she applied this knowledge only when she moved to the UK for her academic pursuits. As a young college student in the UK, time was always short, and the chores were forever piling up. Taking the garbage out was one task she disliked to the core. Blame it on the nippy outdoors, but that pile of thrash got her thinking there had to be a better way to reduce the global impact of waste generation. She did not want to be a keyboard warrior. She wanted results at the grassroots. Hence,she crafted her waste management methodologies and systems after thorough research and extensive industry insights. And then the Covid-19 Pandemic changed the world as we knew it.

Among many restrictions, the monitored grocery shopping drove home the necessity of food security, particularly in harsh environments. Amidst this uncertainty, she realised humans would realign their needs based on the available resources, but what about the animals?

The UAE does not have arable land being a desert region. And so it imports over 90% of its agricultural produce to meet its demands. It puts us in a tough spot regarding food security and import dependency. That’s how Al Aliyo Hydrofarms, UAE’s premier industrial scale hydroponic fodder company, was conceived to relieve the dependence on imported animal feed by promoting sustainability and self-reliance.

Al Aliyo Hydrofarms is changing this equation by providing fresh, green fodder of barley, and wheat. Hydroponics is an ancient Greek concept where plant production occurs via water, in a monitored sterile environment sans human interference. Mr. Tambor Lyngdoh, the Founding Chairman (Synjuk), CCF cum Project Director of the Khasi Hills Community REDD+ Project implemented through Community Action. He has successfully implemented the Community Biodiversity Conservation project through the Village Forest Council Mawphlang. As the founder and the president of the council, he has been able to fully implemented the project from 2002-2007.  

Mr. Tambor Lyngdoh founded the Phriang Jingshai Tourism Society in 2004 presently named as Mawphlang Sustainable Tourism Society. This society was form to cater services to the tourist and researchers visiting Mawphlang Sacred Grove, initiated and pioneered by him during the year 1996. Today there are about 42 trained guides taken care of tourists etc. visiting the grove and trekked the David Scott Trail. He shattered homestay services in Mawphlang since 1998. Mawphlang has been changing through his leadership. Identified more than 40 new tourist spots in the state.

Mr. Tambor Lyngdoh of Mawphlang, Meghalaya has over two and a half decades of experience in conservation efforts.  From 1996-2011, acting as the Secretary for his local governing agency (Hima), he initiated the revival of the nearby sacred grove, introduced eco-tourism to the area, and participated in forest preservation while actively drawing others in to form his current organization, (Synjuk).  He has headed the Biodiversity Conservation Project as the President of the Village Forest Council since 2001.  He is also the recent recipient of the 2020 NatWest Green Warrior Award. The Indian Achievers award 2020-2021, the Wetlands Champion 2022, The Meghalaya State Excellence award 2021. Receiving the Bharat Ratna Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam Excellence Award 2022 & Rastriya Gaurav Award 2022. His pursuits are in sustainable tourism, sacred grove preservation, wildlife conservation, and community development.

Mr. Lyngdoh implemented the first UN REDD+ (Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Degradation) project in India, effectively uniting ten indigenous governments to protect and conserve community forests.  This REDD+ project is one of the few in Asia that is managed by indigenous communities.  In tandem, he has mobilized awareness through women’s micro-finance groups, farmer groups, and youth in 100 plus villages to promote the conservation measures. By providing alternatives to forest timber products, the 10,000 households in the project area earn income while protecting forest habitat.  He also initiated the conservation of water bodies like ponds wells and streams. Rescuing and rehabilitation of epiphytes and other faunal and floral species.

Mr. Lyngdoh has successfully introduced the REDD+ project to Ri Bhoi District, West Garo hills District and Manipur through Kuki Community since 2019-2020. He has published a book in memory of his father released on the 10th September 2020 on his father’s 10 death anniversary. The book contained the list of Plants and herbs that can cure different types of diseases and the full case study of Mawphlang sacred groves and poems. The book is sold like hot cakes and was reprinted during 2022. Mr. Lyngdoh has been part and parcel of many governmental organisation in the state and the country as well.

Brindarica Bose (Brinda) is a Swiss-based artist of Indian ancestry. She is a versatile artist and art instructor who enjoys sharing the glory of art with others. She was trained in the fine arts in Kolkata and Ranchi as a child, but she never truly ceased learning. Brinda enjoys using vivid hues in her artwork, and her preferred medium is watercolours.

She has exhibited internationally and lectured at the Urbansketchers Symposium in Switzerland. Her family and fellow artists have always supported her on this voyage, for which she is grateful. Painting or drawing can be meditative, and she hopes that despite their busy schedules, more people will take up a brush or pencil. Brinda’s paintings have been featured in international publications, and she currently teaches art at Switzerland’s premier school, Migros Klubschule, as well as in private and online courses. She is also the founder of the creative collaborative publishing platform ‘Bose Creative Publishers’ for authors and artists. 

As a charitable endeavour, she shares the joy of art with refugees and underprivileged children through her initiative ‘Artists beyond border’ with Wohler Integrationsamt and Robin Hoods Academy, Ranchi, India.
