Achiever's Success Story

Promoting Indian Art across the globe

Brindarica Bose (Brinda) is a Swiss-based artist of Indian ancestry. She is a versatile artist and art instructor who enjoys sharing the glory of art with others. She was trained in the fine arts in Kolkata and Ranchi as a child, but she never truly ceased learning. Brinda enjoys using vivid hues in her artwork, and her preferred medium is watercolours.

She has exhibited internationally and lectured at the Urbansketchers Symposium in Switzerland. Her family and fellow artists have always supported her on this voyage, for which she is grateful. Painting or drawing can be meditative, and she hopes that despite their busy schedules, more people will take up a brush or pencil. Brinda’s paintings have been featured in international publications, and she currently teaches art at Switzerland’s premier school, Migros Klubschule, as well as in private and online courses. She is also the founder of the creative collaborative publishing platform ‘Bose Creative Publishers’ for authors and artists.

As a charitable endeavour, she shares the joy of art with refugees and underprivileged children through her initiative ‘Artists beyond border’ with Wohler Integrationsamt and Robin Hoods Academy, Ranchi, India. She believes that art has the ability to transform minds and lives. She is an avid reader of the Upanishads, Vedas, ancient Indian texts, and paints canvases based on Indian mythology, and loves portraying Indian Devis in a contemporary style. You can view her paintings in her website: www.brindarica.art and follow her speed sketches in Instagram: @artistbrinda

When asked about what intrigues her the most about painting, she said that a paper and a brush have the power to transform minds and lives, and bring a positive change. Creativity infuses energy. Her favourite subjects in paintings are landscapes, urban sketches, and concepts from our rich Indian mythology.

Her message to the younger generation is, “If you enjoy looking at a good painting, then you can also pick up a brush, and give it a try. Learn the skill, and get empowered by creativity. And if you can share your art with the underprivileged, then your joy will be doubled. Just give it a try and see!”
