Beyond her achievements in aviation, Captain Singh has made a profound impact as the Founder and Managing Trustee of the non-profit organization Literacy India. Her specially curated initiatives have positively influenced the lives of over 850,000 children, youth, and women at the grassroots level through its 106 centres nationwide. Programs under Literacy India ranged from education, Vocational Studies, Organic Farming training, Recycling Waste Paper to Products, Women empowerment, Future skilling youth and Fostering a Robust learning foundation through its smart classes.

Using technology to engage children at the grassroots, Singh has been instrumental in developing the gamified holistic digital primary education software called the Gyantantra. Close to 200,000 children have gone through this program which has helped build a robust foundation for the children who are otherwise dropping out of school. The software has been implemented in many Govt Schools and by many NGOs. Among them is  UNICEF -India, which took Gyantantra for Bihar, Purnea-District.

In addition to her dedication to education, Captain Indraani Singh also serves as the Founder and Managing Partner of the Social Enterprise “INDHA,” a project dedicated to empowering women.

Captain Singh’s remarkable contributions have earned her numerous accolades and recognition. She has been honoured with awards such as the Godfrey Philip special award for Bravery in a social cause and recognition in the Limca Book of Records.

Dr. Girija K. Bharat, the Founder and Managing Director of Mu Gamma, has been passionately working towards reducing pollution in the environment through research, consultancy, advocacy, and outreach activities. She is an international expert with 32 years of experience in Water Resource Management, Water Supply and Sanitation, Chemical and Plastic Pollution.

She is a Ph.D. in Chemistry (Water Quality) and an alumnus of IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, Utkal University, Bhubaneswar, BITS (Pilani), and George Mason University, USA. She is a member of the American Chemical Society (ACS); Iota-Sigma-Pi – an Honor Society for Women in Chemistry in the U.S. She was also the recipient of the IIM Bangalore (NSRCEL)-Goldman Sachs 10 K Women Entrepreneurs Programme, 2021.

Dr. Girija is the Project Lead (India) of the Indo-Norwegian Project on Plastic and Chemical Pollution under the Indo-Norwegian Marine Litter Programme. She leads several other projects funded by the Research Council of Norway, GIZ, the India-EU Water Partnership, Swiss Development Cooperation, UNIDO, the National Institute of Urban Affairs, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.

She has 128 publications to her credit, and her scientific and technical papers have been published in high impact factor journals such as Environment International, Science of Total Environment, Environmental Pollution, Chemosphere, and many others. She is an invited speaker by UNEP, the World Bank, GIZ, the Ministry of Jal Shakti, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, IOCL, WAPCOS, Stockholm World Water Week, India Water Week, the World Sustainable Development Summit, the India Water Forum, and others.

She is the recipient of several awards, including the Women Transforming India Award by NITI Aayog, the Glory of India Award (June 2021), the Global Environment Award 2020, the Aqua Excellence Award 2020, the Exceptional Women of Excellence Award of the Women Economic Forum in 2019, the Inspiring Woman Achiever of the Year 2019 in the Environment Sector by ASSOCHAM, the Woman Super Achiever by the World Woman Leadership Congress by CMO Asia, and 51 Fabulous Global Water and Water Management Leaders by ET Now.

Preet is a certified NYS Citizen Public Health Leader which establishes her expertise in preventing and responding to public health emergencies and community health needs. She also holds a certification in “Citizen Preparedness Corps” which makes her equipped with the tools and resources to prepare for any type of disaster or emergency, respond accordingly and recover as quickly as possible to pre-disaster conditions. 

She has been instrumental in implementation of the public health programs and grants to address pandemic-COVID-19, public health emergencies-Mpox and health needs of the communities – Cancer, Obesity, Hypertension, Diabetes, Substance Use and HIV among others. Preet was instrumental in building partnerships with the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, churches, schools, community-based organizations, and congregations to address the health disparities prevalent in the Far Rockaway community. During the pandemic, she has secured grants through NYC DOHMH which led to expansion of access to care and improved COVID-19 vaccination rate in the community. She is passionate about serving underserved, medically marginalized and vulnerable communities through implementation of programs in addressing health disparities, social determinants of health and advancing health equities. 

Her work has been recognized by the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene for playing a prominent role in advancing health equity and preventing COVID-19 in NYC through the Public Health Corps. She has been recognized as one of the Top 25 Emerging Leaders by Modern Healthcare for significant contributions to the culture of innovation and transformation in the field of healthcare. She is a winner of the Boston Congress of Public Health – Health Innovator to Watch Award 2023 for health and healthcare innovation in the traditional public health field. She is also a winner of Stevie Award 2023 for Achievement in Management – Health Products & Services category. Her programs have received notable recognition such as the Food Security Program, which received membership spotlight on the Healthcare Association of NYS (HANYS) platform and the Mobile Health Outreach Program, which was nominated for a Community Health Improvement Award through HANYS.  

Preet has received her MBA in India, Masters in Health Administration from Hofstra University and is currently pursuing Master’s in Public Health from CUNY School of Public Health. While her personal journey took her away from the four concrete and established walls of the corporate industry and planted her into the open expanses and rawness of Bihar, Veena continued to explore her interest and curiosity of this world anew. With a foundation in working with people at various levels and the insight into discovering, tapping and pooling potential, she began the steps of this newfound journey by exploring the depths of what rural Bihar had to offer. During the years of 2006 to 2008, she participated extensively in implementing water sanitation, healthcare and various other developmental government projects with UNICEF & UNDP.Having spent considerable time with people across the lower strata of society in rural Bihar, the awakening to assist in the socio-economic empowerment of the marginalized stirred in her.

Persuading  erstwhile manual-scavenger families to walk up the ladder  of functional literacy and skill development for sustained livelihoods with her, while arduous, was eventually successful . From highlighting the importance of being independent by way of strengthening functional skills to the necessity of opening bank accounts and being financially self-reliant, she worked with women across regions in semi –urban  Bihar to help create alternate means of earning their living through art, craft and design. Aided by  Dr. Pathak  of Sulabh International  for administrative processes, this spearheaded the women groups thus empowered to participate in exhibitions that propelled not just the power of education and expression, but threw light on the magical arts and crafts of Bihar.

As part of her quest to work with weavers of Bihar, she has worked to revive handlooms in Jamalhata, Siwan district and has assured 41 weaver families with sustained production of uniform fabrics for Delhi Public Schools in Patna, Pune, Coimbatore & Ludhaina. Veena has also  skilled the rural women of this district to stitch professional school uniforms for these schools which is a brilliant case study of how 52 women could inspire 50 more to join them in their march towards self empowerment. And  also how this up- skilling sparked 30  rural women to learn handloom weaving for their livelihood,  she has  thus ensured sustained market linkages for the skilled women and integrated these groups with Takshila Foundation and Sarraf Enterprises.

The never say die spirit to revive and promote endangered crafts and hand skills, Veena has worked to revive hand spinning on Kisan charkha which became a village movement for the elderly rural women and the cultural heritage weaves of Extra Weft “baavanbuti”. At present, she invests considerable effort traveling and working with weavers to help regenerate a skill that was replaced by other more sustainable occupations. Her curiosity and drive in this regeneration has taken her across the country to the heart of where India’s weavers lie. After her relentless conversations, assurances and trips to weaver villages, today she has empowered over 130 weaver families and over 230 women seamstresses, spinners and embroidery artisans content at sustaining their families with an art that runs deep within them..

Veena has also been an active member of Creative Dignity during the pandemic and her  voluntary work as the State Anchor of Bihar & Chattisgarh has helped protect craft clusters in both states.

Veena was shortlisted as the Top 130 Women Transforming India Awards 2019, Niti Aayog & the Women Entrepreneurship Platform. She has been recommended for the JSW contemporary craftsmanship prize for her contribution as a textile revivalist. Her work was on display at the National Museum, New Delhi in 2022 under ‘Sutr Santati’ curated by Lavina Baldota and hosted by the Baldota Foundation

With her continued efforts, she has helped open doors to not just the marginalized population that knew no other form of earning but has also exposed the magnitude of talent and stories untold brimming in beautiful Bihar. 

His meeting with Mr Vivek Trika, who was also a founding member of Onquest Laboratories, prompted him to switch to the Laboratory Diagnostics segment by joining the India’s Top 3 Diagnostics Company SRL Ltd (Formerly Specialty Ranbaxy Ltd), followed by his highly productive tenure with Metropolis Laboratories Ltd to establish a solid foundation for Tamil Nadu state sales. Technically, he has contributed by introducing innovative techniques such as Luminex, which is the gold standard for transplant immunology testing in India. Also awarded with the Metropolis Gold Medal for his contributions under the direction of Mr. K. Anand (currently the CEO of SRL Ltd.) .

Moving from Metropolis to MEDALL, while transitioning from a primary Laboratory company to a Radiology-based company posed a challenge for him. Under the capable leadership of Mr Raju Venkatraman CMD, Medall was transformed from a pure Radiology company in 2011 to South India’s largest Integrated Diagnostics solutions company with LDHC (Lab Diagnostics & Health Checks) as its primary function.  Contributed admirably during their eight-year tenure with Medall. In addition to Sales, he managed the Training of the Sales Team for the entirety of South India and was a member of the technical committee that created the ” Book of Tests”  Mr Raju Venkatraman, CMD at the time, referred to me as a subject matter expert, which was regarded as one of the highest honours at the time.

Moving to Neuberg Diagnostics after working closely under the able guidance of Industry Legend Dr GSK Velu as Associate Vice President was again a boon in transforming Dr Velu’s long-term vision and vibrant ideas into business to make 2x growth in a span of 1 year and two months.

Currently, he is the Zonal Business Head for Apollo Diagnostics – Apollo Hospitals Group, a position he has held for the past 2 12 years with a 3x growth rate and the inauguration of over 120 Collection Centres, which earned him Sales Manager of the Year 2022..

As the CEO Director of Tara Projects, she has demonstrated her leadership skills and commitment to social cause. The organisation’s focus on Fair Trade ensures that artisans and producers receive fair wages and work under ethical conditions.

In addition to her role at Tara Projects, Ms. Sheel Prabha (Moon) is the President of Tara Projects Association, a community development organization dedicated to grassroots initiatives in areas such as education, healthcare, skill development, environmental protection, and women’s empowerment.

With over four decades of experience in the field, Ms. Sheel Prabha (Moon) has travelled extensively. She holds postgraduate degrees from Delhi and Newcastle University in the UK.

Shalini Dinesh moved to the United States in 2017 to pursue her master’s degree in engineering management from Southern Methodist University, Dallas. Shalini is currently working for Walmart as a PM; some of her career success includes launching the NTransit mobile application on the Google Play and Apple App Store, launching the eDocs solution, which enables the first/middle mile drivers to drive paperless while reducing their dwell time and also supporting Walmart’s sustainability goals by eliminating the need to print paper.

Before working for Walmart, Dinesh worked as a consultant for Tango Analytics. Her passion for technology and her motivation to learn and grow has helped her scale up her career ladder.

Shalini is also a mother of a nine-year-old, and she inspires other women who are trying to balance their careers and family life, along with social contribution.

Dr. Abhijit Sarkar is presently working at Sharekhan Ltd, a subsidiary of the French multinational bank BNP Paribas. He is the senior vice president and country head for administration and purchasing. Regarding his credentials, he holds an MBA in Human Resources, a Bachelor of Commerce, a Doctorate in Management Studies, a degree in Interior Design, a Certified Sig Sigma Black Belt, a Certified Procurement and Supply Chain Manager, and a Certified Scrum Manager certification. He has also been a fellow with the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors of London, a Member of Leaders Excellence, Harvard Square, and a Certified Green Building Professorial from the Assocham Gem Green Building Council.
