In October 2003, he entered into the Retail Industry through Shoppers Stop Store with no idea of his future. On the contrary, he was confident of leaving Shopper Stop in the next year. God always plans better and he has continued with Shoppers Stop for 2 decades

He joined Shoppers Stop Kandivali Store as back back-end cashier with the limited role of training front-end cashiers and basic accounting work. However, he was not a desk person and always used to be on the trading floor with cashiers and store managers attending to customers. That was the time when he realized his passion for retail. According to him, Shoppers Stop is a benevolent land that gave the retail industry many superstars. Meanwhile, in 2004, he was transferred to the banking department at the Service Office (Head Office) of Shoppers Stop.

He was working with one of the best CXO lines. During this spell, he proved himself as the best resource in corporate banking. He worked on many important assignments including fundraising, cash flow management, and Investments including the Shoppers Stop IPO in year 2005. Soon he became a Treasury Head of Shoppers Stop and its retail divisions like Hyper City, Time Zone, and Crossword Bookstore.

While he proved himself as a reliable resource in the capacity of Treasury Head, he has also started thinking of digital payment and become one of the forefathers in the digital payment revolution through various fintech partners. He has always had a zeal for innovation and has many customer-centric engagements. He always stayed connected with end customers through stores. He always mentions, that he is a customer care associate and will always remain a customer care associate throughout his life.

Post Demonetisation, he became more instrumental in the Digital Payment Revolution and was leading the retail industry w.r.t. Wallet-based payments, UPI, Bharat QR, Multi Bank EMI, BNPL, and many more to mention. 

During this era, he becomes more influential amongst Network partners like RUPAY, VISA Mastercard, Leading Card Issuing Banks, Acquiring Banks, Payment service providers, and Fintech Partners.

In November 2023, he joined Enigmatic Smile a Global Leader focused on supporting a circular reward economy through their unique technology called Single. id. This reward economy is comprised of thousands of retailers, and millions of consumers.

He mentioned that his canvas has now been increased through his new endeavor as “Head Reward Programme Alliances” at Enigmatic Smile. He is confident and happy as he is serving the last mile of the consumer ecosystem through Single.id technology across the globe.
