Mr. Malaya Rout’s Journey and Trailblazing Initiatives in Data Science at Exafluence

Mr. Malaya Rout works as director of data science at Exafluence. Exafluence partners with clients across various industries and provides innovative AIML solutions to client’s business problems worldwide. Generative AI is currently a big focus at Exafluence, and the team has already built many LLM-powered platforms. He is a passionate and light-hearted trainer and writer in data science. He is a published author of seven books.

Three of them are on the subject of data science titled “Say the Unsaid through Analytics”, “Data Science Building Blocks”, and “Ask a Data Scientist”. The other four contain poems and stories. The books are available on Amazon and various other online platforms.

He writes a weekly data science column in the Times of India. Topics are usually thought-provoking, ranging from traditional Machine Learning to Generative AI. In addition, he regularly writes technical blogs for Exafluence.

He was a mentor for NASSCOM’s WWRT program (Women Wizard Rule Tech) for around three years. He is a contributor to two patents in Machine Learning granted by the US Patents Office. He is an avid speaker and frequently delivers keynote speeches, guest lectures, panel discussions, and Faculty Development Programs (FDPs) in various Indian colleges and institutes.

In the last eleven years of his career, starting in 2013, he has worked extensively on providing AIML-based solutions to clients across various industries. He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science.

Additionally, he has completed the one-year postgraduate program in management for executives from IIM Calcutta (now called the MBAEx).
