As an innovator, Aruna has founded a charity foundation and several initiatives  that promote sustainable community development through meaningful engagement between communities and the government, including in policy formulation and development decision-making. Her main passion is increasing access to education on sexual and menstrual health management for adolescent girls and young women in grassroots communities, as well as producing and distributing sustainable, reusable sanitary pads.

One of Aruna’s most notable initiatives is the Smallest Library in Africa, which has helped establish, build, and upgrade over 18 libraries in rural and informal housing (slums) in Kenya. Aruna’s driving motivation is to promote education and innovation by reducing inequities and increasing access through collaboration and partnership. She has also given a TEDx talk on her work and vision.

Mr. Biswajit has expertise in Automobile Journalism too. His passion of blog writing took him to work as a freelance ‘Consulting Editor’ for India’s premium Commercial Vehicle Magazine – ‘Motor India’. Biswajit is well known and recognized amongst the bus fleet operators in India for his views and insights regarding sustainable transport solutions. With a Pan-India approach, Biswajit stressed on the required effort for sustainable bus transport in India. He believes that Passenger Service and the Bus Crew Category is the most sought area, which needs urgent attention to bring streamline development in bus services across the country. His start up – “Hive Sustainable Solutions”, is an initiative and step towards attaining a sustainable future, in the bus industry of India, keeping in mind his formulation of a three-pillar theory – stressing the need a concern for the bus fleet operator, the passenger, the driver and bus crew.

He is currently working in the fields of Smart Passenger Mobility, Bus Crew Well-Being, Inter-Modal Transport, Zero Carbon footprint initiatives, MaaS (Mobility as a Service), ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and Digital Solutions for Vehicle Maintenance and Monitoring. His start-up company – Hive is concentrated on implementing smart passenger mobility, keeping in view the safety and security of the travelling women and senior citizen. He also has a collaboration with Singapore based, Fuho Technology, for ADAS Solutions. He has been highlighted by various print and digital media in the country for his passion for buses, which includes – ‘The New Indian Express’, ‘Times Of India’, ‘All About Belgaum’, ‘Scania India Blog’, ‘Vijaya Vani Karnataka (VRL Media)’, ‘Darshan Belgaum’, and ‘Vijay Karnataka’. He was felicitated by Rotary Club of Dharwad Central, Karnataka for his outstanding contribution to the Bus Industry especially in the areas of sustainable transport solutions.

But there is a greater risk of holding back. What is needed is taking a big leap of faith and taking the opportunity that comes your way. Ms. Deepa currently works as head of Technology, Infrastructure Services & Security with 2 decades of experience in the field of technology with strong focus on strategic transformation. In her career journey, she found it exciting that the conversations around technology have changed in the last few years – from speeds and feeds towards customer outcomes. She is extremely Passionate of bringing about a positive mindset shift with every interaction. In her entire professional journey, she has overcome many obstacles owing to her strong work ethic, thirst for knowledge and unconditional support from her family. From very early on, her ambition was to be able to create a positive impact on society. A master of business administration (MBA) in project management and B. Tech in computer science, her passions is to encourage equal opportunities at the workplace. She attributes her work ethic and values to her mother.

His contribution as an Open-Source Advocate helped shape the platform and impacted the way people use the technology. During his time as an undergrad, he published 3 IEEE and 1 Elsevier Publications which are the world’s top publications After Mr. Abhinav graduated in 2018, he established his startup to solve supply chain data protection problems that utilized Blockchain and Machine Learning. He then got selected for the startup accelerator program of IIM Bangalore, NSRCEL. where he was chosen out of several applicants nationwide. His startup was one of the top finalists in NASSCOM Data, ML & Blockchain hackathon out of 50 teams. He built his company and worked with major industry clients to improve their supply chain solutions. This was his major time spent in entrepreneurship that bolstered his problem-solving skills and generated employment. During this time, he also ran online courses to teach people coding and build their careers in tech. He taught over 150 students via Zoom.

At the same time, Mr. Abhinav shared his learnings and insights as open source on GitHub for people to learn for free at their convenience. He got recognized when his GitHub contribution was selected for the Arctic GitHub vault. His work impacted the youth of India in pursuing them to study abroad. He proudly shares that he has helped several students to achieve their admission to a Masters’ program in the US. He helped them for free via his startup Gradboss. During this time, he also actively helped people by answering their queries on Quora. In 2020, he got admitted to IVY League Columbia University in New York which is among the top universities in the world and has an acceptance rate of less than 10%.

He graduated with a Masters’ degree in Operations Research in December 2021. As of today, Mr. Abhinav volunteers as a Product mentor at the University of Washington to help students to build their careers in technology and product management. He has been invited to Judge and mentor over 7 Hackathons.
