Modernizing Healthcare with Nextgen Network Technology, Ms. Vandana Mandal’s journey stands inspiring
Ms. Vandana Mandal believes that “Great Leaders are not the best at everything. They find people who are best at different things and get them all on the same team.” With an experience of 14 years into IT industry and an engineering degree in Biotechnology and started her career with Infosys as SQL DBA and from there grew her fondness for Data. Moving fast forward, she got an opportunity to work for Microsoft in diverse profiles. Ms. Vandana got an opportunity to work in Azure and experienced the power of cloud, and it was from then that there was no turning back point for her. She says that it was in Microsoft that she grew from a SQL professional to an Azure engineer and it was during this time that her passion to enable teams with data and data driven decisions grew stronger, and she found her grounds to become a servant leader.
The Pandemic was harsh and hit many people around the globe in 2020. It was during this time that the importance of a robust healthcare was felt and digitization ought to became a necessity; it became a need and not a choice. Ms. Vandana, having faced personal losses during pandemic, felt the urge to give back to society grew stronger. And during this time, she got an opportunity to work for Providence, and there were no doubts. A decision was made! The mission and vision of Providence, resonated with what she wanted to achieve in life. In Providence, she leads the Network Engineering team in India, which is part of Technology Engineering and Operations. They, as an organization are on a journey to modernize healthcare and for that it is a must to have a robust infrastructure.
On a personal note, Ms. Vandana Mandal is an optimistic person and is convinced of the fact that, “we can deliver and engineer robust products from India which will help healthcare IT.”
