Engineer Rohidas Nanaji Jadhav began his career with the Dwarkadhish Sugar Factory built by his guide and Shraddhasthan Shankarao Sawant near Antapur village and later switched his job with Bosch Company in Pune and Nashik. Since his father is into cilantro business and that being in the form, he thought of putting together his education and the business and help his father and family, move towards progress. Leaving a well-paying job and helping his father and family to this day, he says that he is satisfied with the work he has done to build trust in a good number of farmers by serving the black mother and growing the cilantro business.
Mr. Rohidas’ father, Shri. Nanaji Muralidhar Jadhav started the business of cilantro. Since Nashik district is now known as a high yielding district for onions and due to the focus given on this crop, has given impetus to increase the yield of onion by producing home quality seeds for onion crop and thereby giving it to farmers at very low rates.
Just like every business, agribusiness, too has challenges. As it is entirely dependent on labor, water and climate, providing close employment to the laborers, providing them daily employment has always remained a challenge. While trading in cilantro and other vegetables, farmers were happy to see the quality of the seed produced for a fair price.
As India is an agricultural country, farmers in each region are increasing their economic income by using different experiments and new technologies. And under the mission of self-reliant India, the organization aims to guide the local educated unemployed, to establish their organizations and groups, to start agro-based industries, to reduce unemployment and to create self-employment and self-reliance so that they can lead a self-reliant life.
They, as an organization have contributed to the society in various forms like education, social, religious, arts, sports, all the members of the society in the village and the area have been given maximum time by running their own business in the above area. Mr. Rohidas believes that “It is very important for everyone to set their own rules while living life so that the new generation will be satisfied with the determination, perseverance, hard work and willpower to achieve their goals.”
Today, with the help of his parents, brothers and sisters-in-law, the entire family is cultivating up to 100 acres of farmland with the help of parents, brothers and sisters-in-law. Engineer Rohidas Jadhav has made a name for himself in all fields in various states of India, including Nashik district, by establishing Nanaji Farmers Producer Company and working on it with perseverance, hard work and faith.
