Mr. Pankaj Tanwar currently heads the design-engineering and technical team as Vice President-Technical. Mr. Tanwar obtained his MTech. degree in Environmental Engineering with specialization in waste management and advanced technologies. He has been part of the ORS team since 2010 and has 20 years of extensive experience in the field of design engineering, waste management including wastewater treatment and solid waste processing, treatment & disposals.
Mr. Tanwar has immense exposure on various conventional & advanced waste management technologies that comprise of physio-chemical and advanced biological treatments of aerobic & anaerobic system including high rated solids thermophilic digestion and resource recovery potential as biogas, and enhanced/enriched quality of compost from different feed substrates utilization, utilization of biogas as electricity conversion and an alternate fuel such as purification, up-gradation and transition to compressed biogas (CBG) through different purification technologies. He also holds vast experience in assessing and evaluating various possibilities of integration of other thermal conversion technologies (waste to energy); gasification, incineration, pyrolysis, etc.; centralized and decentralized solutions as best practices in the waste management sector, which is in line with the consideration of guidelines/policy frameworks by various respective nodal agencies and followed by continuous plant operations philosophy.
Mr. Tanwar has profound expertise and has been instrumental in the development of various innovative technological solutions as techno-economic viable and sustainable approach which includes “concept to commissioning” followed by long term plant operations. Overall, Mr. Tanwar has more than 10 research papers (liquid & solid waste management, development of intermittent cyclic process, online monitoring parameters, and emission control etc.) publication credentials in National/International SCI Journals and conference proceedings. He has also contributed as a co-author for seven books as part of sustainable technologies, advanced waste management technologies, emission control and circular economy.
