Profile: A lawyer by qualification, Kunal Lalvani (KL) has nearly 15 years of experience in Insurance and Reinsurance as a broker. Currently working as Vice President in Aon India, he has contributed in India and International markets. In his career he has undertaking different lines of business in Facultative Reinsurance specializing in Aviation, Space, Property, Engineering and Energy including Terrorism and Political Violence. He has vast knowledge in designing Structured reinsurance solution and placements for complex risk including Aviation and Space with international reinsurers keeping in mind the Indian regulations and requirements.
KL made a humble beginning very early in his life while he was studying his 12th, he and worked as a call center executive. Post completing his graduation he got an opportunity to work as Customer Relationship Executive in Dubai in Banking and Insurance sector. He returned to India to pursue further studies in Insurance. This is where his passion for insurance began, he enrolled in LL. B specialized in Insurance Law which canvassed his career. Alongside he also completed his various certifications in Risk Management, Leadership and Team development from Berlin – Germany, Airclaims – Singapore and few Insurance certifications from Insurance Institute of India. Today Kunal is through professional passing from various grinds of presenting underwriting submission to handling claims. He is now focusing on designing specialized products and spreading awareness of insurance for various start-ups in Aerospace Industry.
He has showcased that with miniscule beginning a successful career can be built on solid foundation with taking one step at a time.
