To say this is the “ Recognition of Career of Amrut ” overstates the case. Without the significant contributions made by others, my career would not certainly be as noteworthy or as satisfactory. Thus humbly declares Amrut Krishnarao Desai, the recipient of ” Man of Excellence Award 2022 . Amrut, entirely credits and dedicates this award to his numerous colleagues at all levels and various Mentors and his family, through out his professional career, for their immense positive contributions towards making him and thorough professional and worthy of the award & much more.
Amrut Desai also believes firmly in the dictum that ” you can accomplish anything in life, provided that you do not mind who gets the credit ” He channeled his ego needs away from himself and into larger goal of building endurable positively contributing, ever growing organizations he is associated with.
His ambition is first and foremost for the institution he belongs to and not himself. As a leader Amrut is always concerned for the development of his colleagues and success of the institution rather than his own riches and personal renown. Amrut humbly avers that he wants to see the organizations even more successful in the next generation.
Amrut, who has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Textile Technology, is grateful that he was offered opportunities to work for many organizations in his career of over four decades where he learned basics of production of Textiles and Garments, went on to specialize in Quality Assurance of Consumer Goods and the all-important issue of “Risk Mitigation” with respect to Manufacturing and International trade. His eventful tenure at senior management levels with excellent companies like Hohenstein Institute, Germany and Intertek Plc, UK enabled him to understand the intricacies involved in international trade & play an important role in establishing the much-needed infrastructure of world class cutting edge Testing Laboratories, Inspectorates, Audits & Certification depots which ably assisted the Indian Textile Export Trade in attaining, National, International standards. As a result, the innumerable buyers , world renowned brands & importers today have increased faith in the quality and safety of merchandise being produced and supplied by manufacturers in the Indian sub-continent that directly contributed to the betterment of region’s capacity to earn valuable foreign exchange and economy in General .
Amrut notes with quiet and assured satisfaction that, Indian manufacturers today have attained higher competency by embracing the all-important principles of Ethical and Sustainable Production Practices
