He has over 20 years of experience in the corporate and banking sectors having accomplished outstanding professional achievements in sales and finance. Throughout his career he has traversed interesting experiences, challenging terrains and unchartered domains. He commenced his career by selling household glassware, in the wholesale markets of Kolkata, in order to assist his father financially, after completing engineering (in electrical & electronics). He then completed his MBA in Finance & Marketing from one of the top B-Schools in India.

In the early 2000’s he sold TVS’s computer peripherals to the dealer, distributor and institutional channels (like LIC & Mantralaya) in Mumbai Metropolitan Region. Thereafter, he changed tracks and had super successful stints, leading teams, in globally famous US based organizations like Citibank and Cargill. At the time of leaving Cargill last year, he was Senior Director of Cargill’s Trade & Capital Markets business covering Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Mauritius, Nepal and Sri Lanka. Recently he facilitated a substantial medium term project finance investment into operationalizing Bangladesh’s largest solar power plant affirming his personal commitment to the growth of clean, renewable energy and sustainable financing in South Asia. He is currently heading the finance and accounts functions of one of the largest conglomerates in Bangladesh and has, recently, won another prestigious award for CFO of the Year 2021-22.
