Chairman of TV Asia and Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in New York, H.R. Shah is a prominent name in the Indian-American community. He has several firsts to his credit including the first NRI to own a chain of stores anywhere in the world and the first NRI to set up a 24×7 TV channel. He is also widely active on the philanthropic front, supporting the Queens Child Guidance Center, New York, and Krishna Heart Institute, a charitable body based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. He famously accompanied former US President Bill Clinton during his trips India in 2000 and 2001.
