Achiever's Success Story

Dr. T. Rajini Samuel’s noteworthy contribution stands remarkable

Dr. T. Rajini Samuel has done significant research and created innovative ideas in three biomedical projects namely Electrocardiogram, Blood Gas Analysis and Ventilator Graphics Interpretation which have immense clinical significance. Scientific research and innovation need creative thinking.  Hardwork and patience is required in order to overcome Restriction (difficulty at the starting or entry level), Obstruction (difficulty at the finishing or exit level) and Constriction (more time consuming and difficult in passing through narrow and lengthy road) in life journey which ultimately leads to Construction (Nation Building).

Having pursued his MBBS (2004 -2010) from Chengalpattu Government Medical College located at Chengalpattu, Tamil Nadu, India, he began his research in Electrocardiogram (ECG) interpretation during his undergraduate studies. Thereafter, he worked for two years as a duty doctor in Venkateshwara Hospitals, Nandanam, Chennai to complete the ECG project. He had proposed the cardiac vector hypothesis, Novel ECG interpretation method and published 3 research articles (each one in 2012, 2018 & 2021) that has immense clinical value in the understanding and interpretation of ECG report.

He started his research on Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) interpretation during his post-graduation and proposed a novel ABG interpretation method and also developed a novel four quadrant graphical tool for ABG interpretation. He had published 18 research articles, 3 books and one book chapter related to arterial blood gas (ABG) interpretation. Blood Gas Analyser is one of the most important diagnostic testings for critically ill patients and ventilator settings. He derived novel equations of motion for mechanical ventilation and published 3 research articles on Ventilator Graphics Interpretation in 2021.
