Dr. Sonya is well known for her humanitarian devotedness that ultimately leads to the welfare of mankind since 1990. She has also been running a school for the less privileged children age 3-5 years in a Harijan Basti in New Delhi which prepares them to seek admissions in a good school and has a Homeopathy and Allopathic dispensary at Arya Samaj Mandir, Defence Colony, New Delhi. Providing consultation, medicines, testing machines i.e., Blood Pressure machine, Glucometer, latest ECG machine etc, all free of cost.

Dr. Sonya has been contributing to the United Nations Food Programme (India) by making food items & selling them and proceeds being given to the UN. She has also assisted the New Delhi Leper Colony by providing essentials on a regular basis. Amidst the hardship of the Covid-19 pandemic, she has been working for the last seven months providing food and essentials to Slum Children and in the Leper Colony on a daily basis.

For the above contribution to Society, Dr, Sonya was honoured with the prestigious Global Human Rights Protection Award in December 2019 and Indian Achievers’ Award, 2020,  IAF Atmanirbhar Bharat Award 2021, 6^th Global Choice 2021 for “Outstanding & Remarkable Contribution To The Society & Banking / Finance Sector”,  Times Business Awards 2022 for contribution in the field of Insurance, Finance & Social Service.,  The Most Admired Global Indians 2022, NIER’s National Excellence Awards-2022 for excellence in Social Work and IAF Woman of Excellence Award 2022.

Her contribution towards the Society as a whole and as an individual still has no limits or boundaries and is solely guided by the principles of “Let us be human to all beings.” All the above-mentioned services are being done on her own and without any dependency on any organisation or other’s contributions. The school is helping slum children becoming a part of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
