Dr. Santanu Paul founded TalentSprint in 2008, a revolutionary idea that addresses the widening gap between skills required in the industry and those provided by the traditional education system. After a B.Tech. from IIT Madras and a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, both in Computer Science, he has received the Rackham Doctoral Fellowship, the IBM Canada Fellowship, and the LaCroute Fellowship for Computing Sciences, and the National Talent Scholarship, along the way.
He has presented 20+ international technical papers and has 2 US patents to his credit. Prior to TalentSprint, Dr. Paul’s previous stints include (1) Senior Vice President for Global Delivery Operations at Virtusa Corporation, (2) Chief Technology Officer at Openpages and Viveca, both venture-backed tech firms in Boston, and (3) Research Scientist at IBM T.J. Watson Research Center in Yorktown Heights, New York. He is a regular contributor of opinion pieces and guest columns to print and online media. His views and opinion pieces have appeared in the Outlook Business, Economic Times, Business Standard, Hindu Business Line, Times of India, The Hindu, and BBC online.
TalentSprint is Dr. Santanu Paul’s brainchild. It was initially funded by NSDC (National Skills Development Corporation) and Nexus Venture Partners. It has carved a niche by bringing forth deeptech programs ahead of their time, preparing early career and experienced professionals ready for breakthrough futuristic technologies. Seeing the huge potential that TalentSprint has in creating the talent of tomorrow, NSE (National Stock Exchange) acquired the company in November 2020, owning a majority stake. Today, TalentSprint partners with top premier institutions in the country and offers coding bootcamps, certificate programs, PG diploma, and online degrees that hail from their main forte.
TalentSprint also offers unique and innovative programs in diversity and inclusion such as the Women Engineers (WE) Program supported by Google and Women in Software Engineers (WISE) at a college level. These programs designed and offered by TalentSprint aim to create world-class software engineers. The coding bootcamps like Full Stack Development (Python & Java), and specialized programs in AI, emerging technologies, and Data science come with 100% placement assistance. TalentSprint has tied up with multiple global conglomerates to offer B2B programs at both individual and college levels with programs like Pega University Program and Salesforce.
TalentSprint programs are delivered on iPearl.ai, an AI-powered state-of-the-art digital delivery platform that offers 360-degree interactive learning. To address the digital necessity of the era and help upskill professionals belonging to tier 2 and 3 cities, this patented platform-as-a-service (PAAS) was launched. So far, TalentSprint has delivered its programs to over 350,000 professionals. The programs have a 95% completion rate with a Net Promoter Score of 85, one of the highest in the edtech industry. With over 700+ marquee recruiting partners, it has provided 15,000+ job opportunities in FY 2021-22 alone with the highest package of 44 Lacs CTC in one of the top tech companies.
TalentSprint has created a global footprint with the launch of TechWise in the United States of America. It is a diversity, equity, and inclusion program, supported by Google. The organization is in the process of launching multiple programs globally, with a focus on APAC and MENA regions this year, in association with renowned US universities.
Over the next few years, TalentSprint is aiming to grow multifold by strengthening strategic alliances and forging new partnerships, both nationally and internationally. TalentSprint is diversifying its portfolio extensively. From core DeepTech programs, it has moved to have management and leadership programs. It also intends to explore eMBA, eDegrees, and eDiplomas and diversify into other areas of specialization with visionary programs in areas that address the new-age omnipresent workplace requirements.
