Mr. Ranjeet Pandey's Vision and Contributions to Goa's Cuisine and Culinary Education
Mr. Ranjeet Pandey is a Chef with a progressive business though, and a mentor and educator working to uplift the Hospitality fraternity. He is a Hotel Management Graduate, and he also holds an MBA degree in finance. He is a very passionate Culinary Artist, with an eye for detail and aesthetic excellence, which makes him a renowned personality throughout India in the Culinary field.
At present, Ranjeet is the Vice President of the famous restaurant chains, called ‘The Fisherman’s Wharf’ and ‘The Red Ginger’ brands, and he has been associated with them from their inception. The Fisherman’s Wharf is the biggest seafood brand in India. He initially worked as the Executive Chef at Holiday Inn Resort, in South Goa, before being part of the core team to establish ‘The Fisherman’s Wharf’ brand by the riverside, in 2005. After the launch of the brand, he was further entrusted with the responsibility of the growth and expansion of both, the seafood and Pan-Asian brands; and since then, has played a very prominent role in the upbringing of the brands and their constant success.
He is also the Founder member and President of ‘The Culinary Forum of Goa’, which was founded in 2005. The Forum is an independent body, not-for-profit, voluntary, apolitical, and professional organization, affiliated with The Indian Federation of Culinary Associations. This committee is dedicated to educating and training individuals to achieve the goal of maintaining and improving the culinary standards of local and global cuisines served in Goa while giving back to society in multiple ways.
He received the National Award for Culinary Leadership at the international IFCA meet in the year 2017. He also holds the “Guinness World Record” twice in the year 2017 for the largest Fish Patty and in 2018 for the largest Mud Pie. Both the records were done as part of the “Culinary Forum of Goa”.
