Hemraj Singh is a seasoned sustainability and ESG professional with over 13 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, specializing in wind, solar, and battery energy storage systems (BESS). His journey is anchored in a strong academic foundation, holding a Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences from Gurukul Kangri University, Uttarakhand (70%), complemented by a PG Diploma in Industrial Safety Management and NEBOSH IGC certification in Occupational Health and Safety. He also holds an undergraduate degree in Life Sciences.
He began his professional career in 2012 as an Environmental Consultant, advising on large infrastructure developments including high-rise residential, industrial, and commercial projects. During this phase, he played a key role in environmental clearances, Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), and formulation of Environmental Management Plans (EMP).
In 2014, Hemraj transitioned into India’s fast-evolving renewable energy sector, becoming an ESG professional with leading Independent Power Producers (IPPs). Since then, he has been deeply involved in shaping sustainable energy projects through robust Health, Safety, Environment, Social, and Governance (HSES&G) frameworks.
He has demonstrated strong leadership in implementing risk-based HSES management systems aligned with global best practices, ensuring regulatory compliance while enhancing operational efficiency. His work integrates sustainability with business strategy, driving measurable impact across renewable portfolios.
