Dr. Pallepadu Damoder, a renowned philanthropist from Hanumakonda, Telangana, has dedicated over 35 years to uplifting marginalized communities. Born on 15th July 1967 into a modest family, he witnessed the hardships of the poor, especially the Scheduled Castes, Tribes, and backward communities. Inspired by their struggles, he established the Sarvodaya Youth Organisation (SYO) in 1993 to drive social change.
Under his leadership, SYO has worked across agriculture, education, health, women’s empowerment, and environmental conservation. He has played a vital role in addressing agrarian crises, promoting renewable energy, and building sustainable community infrastructure. His contributions extend beyond local initiatives, as he has collaborated with national and international organizations to strengthen grassroots development.
Recognized for his relentless service, he has received numerous honors, including an Honorary Doctorate, National Award for Social Services, and multiple accolades for consumer rights, forest conservation, AIDS awareness, and youth empowerment. He also serves on several district-level committees and as Chairman of the Consumer Coordination Council (South States).
He firmly believes that youth are the world’s greatest asset and continues to inspire them as partners in his mission for peace, equality, and social justice.
