With 20 years of experience in HR advisory, knowledge development, and research, Ms. Simran Oberoi is a seasoned woman leader. She has worked in business leadership roles with leading global management consulting firms in Compensation & Rewards, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Leadership Development, and HR and Technology, spanning the Asia-Pacific region. During her stint of working independently, she expanded her horizon and added valuable experiences such as starting her career in academics, coaching women professionals on balancing work and life at inflection points, mentoring women returnees as they rejoin work after career pauses, and developing compassion rating tools. She is an Advisory Board member of two non-profit organizations
She is a TEDx speaker, has contributed to over 200 articles in various HR disciplines, and is recognized as LinkedIn Top Voice 2024. She was on the Planning Committee of the International Leadership Association, for their Diversity Equity Inclusion and Belongingness Summit. She is a Visiting Faculty at Goa Institute of Management and Mody University of Science and Technology, for several years, where she teaches Diversity, Equity, and inclusion in the workplace, and the Co-Faculty for Talent Management, for 2023.
She is also a well-known social entrepreneur and community leader. As the Founder of the globally recognized, award-winning Ovenderful Mom Bakers Community for a decade, she has built a 40,000-member strong women’s network. Due to grassroots-level work in social impact, the enterprise was applauded by Sheryl Sandberg (COO, Facebook) for women making a difference in their communities, and she was recognized as 1 of the 8 most influential community leaders from Asia. Her community also works with The Freedom Project India and the Government of Karnataka, on skill development, to empower women rescued from human trafficking with knowledge of healthy baking and make them financially independent.
