“Nidhi has been making tremendous contributions to the field of music. She was a volunteer music teacher at Chinmaya Mission UK, teaching bhajans to people from a variety of backgrounds. Her approach to teaching music was marked by simplicity and sticking to the basic principles. This allowed students with diverse musical abilities to learn bhajans quickly and correctly. Her sincerity and humility helped maintain a healthy learning environment and uphold the lessons’ spiritual underpinnings. Nidhi taught these classes pro bono so everyone could benefit from her efforts. During the COVID-19 pandemic period, she continued teaching the classes online. These classes helped the old and young alike, giving them a purpose when stuck inside their houses. Nidhi is a highly talented singer who has performed in multiple countries. Her musical versatility is reflected in her performances, which cover a wide range of genres, from Bollywood music to ghazals to Bhajans. I would be hard-pressed to think of a more deserving person for this award.”
