Early in her career as an oilfield services engineer, Neeta Murthy was often the lone woman amidst a sea of men on oil rigs and in corporate meetings. Neeta Murty embarked on a remarkable career journey, beginning with a stint at Schlumberger’s Paris Headquarters, where she worked closely with the C-suite team. She then dedicated two years to pursuing an MBA at Harvard Business School in the United States. Over the course of the next decade, Neeta thrived in various roles at Schlumberger, including Consulting, Sales, Marketing, Operations Planning, and Line Management across Europe and Asia.
Her last role at Schlumberger was as Vice President for the South-East Asia region. Eventually, Neeta made the challenging decision to depart from the company to follow her true passion. Her 18-year career at Schlumberger, marked by global mobility and collaboration with people from diverse backgrounds, proved to be an immensely enriching and fulfilling experience.
Today, Neeta is the visionary behind “Rekindle,” a ground-breaking program designed to empower women across industries. Rekindle blends technology with learning and development to help women build essential business skills and mind-sets. “Women have a lot of untapped potential that needs to be harnessed with the right training,” Neeta emphasizes. This program, based on behavioural science and developed in collaboration with neuroscientists and industry professionals, initiates change from within.
