Mr. Sherin Sunny completed his engineering degree at the University of Kerala and began his career at Technopark, Kerala. Later, he ventured to the US for an onsite assignment, working directly with the client. During his tenure in the US till now, he held various roles, primarily focused on cloud technologies. Currently, he serves as an engineering leader supporting a crucial application at Walmart.
His affinity for Linux began in college, paving the way for a job through campus selection in a Linux server administration company during his final year. His passion for solving technical issues led him to share his Linux solutions on the LinuxMaster blog http://linuxmaster.in, a platform to address Linux challenges.
Subsequently, he transitioned to cloud engineering, working with Google Cloud on his initial cloud projects, which fueled his interest before his tenure at Amazon Web Services (AWS). At AWS, he thrived in customer-facing roles, tackling issues directly and addressing data storage challenges, particularly with Elastic Block Storage. He also authored articles on optimizing storage monitoring with AWS CloudWatch.
As an engineering leader at Walmart, he had the opportunity to build a team from scratch and oversee a critical application ensuring seamless customer order fulfillment.
Through his diverse experiences in different roles and technologies across various multinational companies, he learned that the biggest risk is not taking any. As Abdul Kalam famously said, ‘Dreams transform into thoughts, and thoughts result in action”
