Mr. Praveen Kumar Sharma is the Chief Technology Officer Jupiter Electric Mobility Pvt. Ltd. Kolkata India. He has a rich industry experience of over 20 years in various capacities. He is the head of the end-to-end Technology development including ICE and Fully electric platforms, advanced chassis systems, Driveline development for ICE and BEV vehicles, and good exposure in Passenger cars, Light Commercial, and heavy commercial vehicle segments. Also has rich experience in Autonomous vehicle development (ADAS level 2 and 3+). He is also responsible for building the Technology, Vision, Strategy, Design Thinking, and use of fast fast-paced innovation culture at Jupiter Electric Mobility.
He has an impressive 19+ year track record in the automotive industry and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at ARAI Pune, complemented by a master’s degree from BITS Pilani. His journey commenced at Spicer India, where he honed his skills, navigating the intricacies of chassis design at Renault Nissan India, and spearheading VAN projects at Mercedes Benz India. His pivotal role at Mercedes AMG in Germany marked a transformative chapter in shaping fully electric car platforms. Holding an impressive portfolio, he brings with him 8 patents and 7 international journal papers.
The global odyssey continued with a stint at VinFast Vietnam, where he successfully managed high-performance electric car programs for global markets. He is the backbone of the cultural and Technology transfer to India during his tenure in Dana Spicer (USA), Renault Nissan (Japan and France), Mercedes Benz (Germany), and VinFast LCC (Vietnam), His contribution to building nation’s future is remarkable and appreciated by all stockholders.
