Mr. Prashanth Cecil stands as a distinguished leader in operations and supply chain management with extensive experience spanning well over a decade. Currently serving as General Manager at Amazon, he oversees a vast fulfillment center while leading a substantial team of exempt salaried leaders and associates.
His impressive career journey includes key positions at Procter & Gamble and Maruti Suzuki, where he received various prestigious awards reserved for a select few employees—recognizing his exceptional contributions to capacity expansion and process reliability improvements.
His international experience is particularly noteworthy, having worked across multiple countries including Japan, Russia, India, and Malaysia. This global perspective has allowed him to develop unique insights into diverse operational environments. He has successfully collaborated with teams in Russia, Brazil, and China while at P&G, enabling significant process reliability improvements through benchmarking of packaging technologies.
His versatility extends across various industries, including retail, consumer goods, automotive, and semiconductor. At Maruti Suzuki, he served as Assistant Manager of Product Lifecycle Management, while at Intel Malaysia, he developed strategic recycling plans for assembly operations. This cross-industry experience has enriched his approach to operations management, allowing him to implement best practices across different sectors.
He played a critical role in the implementation of Project X-Wing, a groundbreaking initiative that revolutionized fulfillment centers by increasing the number of end-point connections to delivery stations. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he demonstrated exceptional leadership by implementing more than one hundred process updates inside warehouses to stem virus transmission.
His forward-thinking approach extends to artificial intelligence applications in supply chain management. By leveraging AI for inventory management and demand forecasting, he has spearheaded technological solutions that have markedly improved efficiency and safety in warehouse operations.
