Mr. Balaji Ananthanpillai is a Senior Group Product Manager at Paylocity, an HR and Payroll Company, where he owns the P and L responsibility for Workforce Management Products. As a Product Manager, He believes that the success of the product is not only building great products and features but also building experiences that matter the most to customers.

He’s also passionate about the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) and the implementation of it in Product Management. Continuing his passion for AI and ML-based products, he co-founded a company called PixelProof AI that leverages AI and ML to detect plagiarism in images, audio, and video files. PixelProof AI leverages generative AI to detect plagiarism of content in advertising images and audio/videos.

At PixelProof AI, he and his team are developing a cutting-edge AI system using deep learning models that analyze images and videos to determine whether they are original or generated from other content by segmenting key attributes/frames in images and videos, identifying patterns and similarities between content from web-at-large, and even detecting reconstructed content using Generative AI.

He is a mentor at Criya, a YCombinator and Venture-based AI startup and 1871 AI Innovation Lab, where he has mentored hundreds of Product Managers and startup founders in Product Management and applications of AI and ML in Product Management. He firmly believes in the saying “He who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing in life.”

Some of his career successes include launching Paylocity’s first ever AI/ML based Scheduling product for Workforce Management, international expansion of Prime Video Channels, and the transactional video on demand (TVOD) in Sweden, Poland, Belgium, Chile, Argentina, and Colombia serving almost 1MM subscribers, and leading the launch of Amazon’s first-ever home robot, Astro that leverages Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, and advanced navigation technologies.
