Today, as an Engineering Leader at BT Group, he drives digital marketplace engineering, platform modernisation, and AI adoption across an ecosystem serving millions of customers.
His career began with software development, where he built a strong foundation in application engineering, system design, and production support. At Times Internet, he progressed into technology and product leadership, managing teams and platforms that connected engineering excellence with customer experience and commercial outcomes.
As Director of Technology at Monster India, Arun led scalable digital marketplace engineering, focusing on performance, reliability, and customer experience. Later, as Vice President of Technology at RedDoorz, he spearheaded cloud-native platform modernisation and led an engineering organisation of approximately 120 professionals. His responsibilities spanned distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, data engineering, security, and compliance.
At BT, Arun brings these experiences together to lead enterprise-scale platform transformation, strengthen engineering governance, and improve delivery performance. His work includes a unified GraphQL orchestration platform processing billions of API requests monthly and initiatives that embed AI into digital sales and customer service journeys.
AI is now central to Arun’s vision for the future. His focus spans Generative AI, Conversational AI, intelligent automation, personalisation, and emerging Agentic AI capabilities. Complementing his industry experience, his doctoral studies in AI, machine learning, and emerging technologies reflect his commitment to continuous learning and responsible innovation.
