Few professionals in India’s jewellery industry bring together the depth of a fine artist, the customer-centricity of a designer, the discipline of a product-development leader, and the commercial understanding required to build enduring jewellery brands. With more than two decades of experience across design, new product development, manufacturing, merchandising, innovation, and retail, Aneesh H Kumarr has established himself as a leading voice in India’s evolving jewellery landscape.

Aneesh’s creative foundation began with Fine Arts, inspired by his grandfather, a painter and theatre artist. He later specialised in jewellery design and manufacturing at JDTI, Noida. His early training shaped a design philosophy that balances heritage and craftsmanship with contemporary lifestyles and functionality.

Over more than a decade with Tata Group’s Titan Company Limited, Aneesh worked across design, product development, CAD, manufacturing, merchandising and new product introduction, contributing to leading brands including Tanishq, Mia by Tanishq and Zoya. His work in innovation was recognised with the Tata InnoVista award for product innovation. He has also been recognised through GJEPC’s 40 Under 40 and other industry honours, and holds three jewellery patents.

In 2023, Aneesh joined Novel Jewels, the Aditya Birla Group’s jewellery business, as one of the founding members of Indriya. He took on the challenge of building the New Product Development function from the ground up, creating teams, processes, vendor and artisan networks, CAD and prototyping capabilities, and systems to support a national jewellery brand. Under his leadership, the function delivered more than 16,000 prototypes in a single year, reflecting the scale and discipline required to build a rapidly growing brand.

Beyond his corporate role, Aneesh contributes to the industry as a speaker, mentor, jury member and panellist, sharing perspectives on design, technology, craftsmanship and innovation.
