Dr. Yogendra Narayanrao Keche: A Passionate Educator, Visionary Pharmacologist dedicated Researcher, and Advocate for Rational Pharmacotherapy
Dr. Yogendra Narayanrao Keche, a distinguished pharmacologist, has made significant contributions to medical research and education. He earned his MD in Pharmacology in 2006 from Indira Gandhi Government Medical College, Nagpur, after completing his MBBS at Government Medical College, Yavatmal. With over 18 years of experience in academics and research, he has played a pivotal role in shaping pharmacological practices and improving patient care.
Currently serving as a Professor in the Department of Pharmacology at AIIMS Raipur, Chhattisgarh, he is actively engaged in drug procurement and hospital store management, ensuring adherence to GFR rules. His expertise extends to pharmacovigilance, clinical research, and rational pharmacotherapy, contributing significantly to medical advancements. He has served on the Institute Ethics Committee, guiding ethical research practices, and is presently the Faculty In-Charge of Hospital Stores (DMC).
A passionate educator, he mentors DM (Clinical Pharmacology), MD (Pharmacology), and MBBS students, guiding them in research methodologies and ethical clinical trials. His research includes studies on hepatitis, elderly care, drug prescription analysis, and adverse drug reactions, positively impacting clinical practices and patient well- being. His dedication to research is reflected in his 34 publications in national and international indexed journals, with a citation count of 178 (h-index = 8, i10-index = 6).
He is an FSASS Fellow and a life member of multiple esteemed societies, including IPS, IAG, ISRPT, and SoPI. His dedication to medical research earned him the INSO Award 2022 for excellence in science and medicine. He actively participates as a resource faculty for CMEs and workshops on research methodology, clinical trials, and pharmacovigilance at various institutions.
Driven by innovation, his vision is to establish a Therapeutic Drug Monitoring Center, advancing precision medicine and optimizing patient care. His contributions continue to shape the future of pharmacology and clinical research in India.
