Took the decision to make a career in Occupational health, after working in different clinical field like Govt Sector, Emergency and trauma care and cardiac care, with the vision to do something different in the field of Occupational health. Done specialization in Occupational health. Always tried to learn all modern aspects of Occupational health, with meeting Nation regulations and tried to implement the Global practices of Occupational health in standard organizations at Global level. Then developed expertise in Industrial health & sustainability and in auditing as well, as these are the current demands in Industries.

Dr. Deepak Kumar Gautam has deep experience in Sustainability, and he played a key role in the growth journey of Occupational health Pillar in HZL in the last few years. He is instrumental in maintaining the balance of updating himself and delivering in Occupational health, Sustainability, Audits, and clinical & Emergency care.

Worked on some of the very good innovative and useful projects in his career, like Cardiac evaluation of all workers with the help of Cardiac tests on site, which was very useful for diagnosing the Cardiac diseases for many workers, and with the help of best treatment, it was lifesaving project for them, which is first time in India. Made a project study for Lifestyle disorder in Mining workers with their age, year of experience, habits, addictions etc..

Dr. Deepak kumar Gautam has been recognized at many forums during his career and delivered many technical papers and lectures on various platforms like Conferences, workshops etc., and written many technical papers in various magazines. Awarded by Group HSE in 2015 for “Appreciative work in Occupational Health”, Awarded for “best work in Sustainability” in 2016, Awarded for “Initiating and Implementing best Practices of Occupational health & Industrial hygiene” in 2017, Awarded as “Covid warrior” by CEO of HZL in 2020, Awarded for “best work in Occupational health Pillar in Sustainability external Audit in 2021”, Awarded by “DGMS  in Mines safety week” in 2022, for contribution of his work in Occupational health for mining workers. He has given bites for the Occupational health in documentary movie made by DGMS in 2021 when the theme was “Fighting with Covid & Silicosis in mines” & in 2022 when theme was “Development of OHS in mines in last 75 years on the occasion of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav”.

His strong belief is “You will shine brightly, in any field, if you work hard with dedication, and he always tried to follow that.
