Introducing the unstoppable Col. Vikas Gupta(Retired). Vikas envisions becoming one of the leading names in Supply Chain excellence worldwide. He wants to leverage his military experience to design the most efficient supply chains and integrate technology into the optimization. He has authored many articles in leading Supply Chain journals.
Col Vikas is a soldier to the core and considers it a privilege to have served the Indian Army across the most challenging terrains, including Siachen. Whether designing a new Helipad at 20,000 feet in freezing Siachen (-40C) in the Himalayas or assembling a new army unit in record time in the burning Thar Desert (+50C), he has handled supply chain and logistics over the most challenging areas in the Himalayas.
Vikas is a hardworking, dynamic, and motivated leader who instills confidence in his juniors and superiors. He was selected based on his performance, professional excellence, and command in Counter Insurgency Operations, which requires a very high level of leadership, analytical ability, and integrity.
He has the unique ability to find innovative solutions, which helped him to subsequently bring down the mobilization time of a unit from 6 to 4.5 hours, ensuring all ammunition (including missiles), rations, and fuel could be redeployed in record time.
After serving the Nation for over 22 years, he took PMR, completed his MBA from the University of Southern California, and joined as Senior Vendor Manager at Amazon in Seattle, looking after the $600 M business.
