Building the Trust Framework for Commercial Payments and Financial Technology
Chandrashekhar Kharche is a Software Engineer and Senior Consultant at Visa Tech and Operations in the USA. He has over two decades of experience developing infrastructure for large-scale enterprise and financial technology systems.
At Visa, within Commercial and Money Movement Solutions (CMS) Product Development, Kharche led the design of a new architecture that enabled the company’s modern payment platform to operate alongside legacy systems without disrupting service for existing clients. This approach allowed most core platform features to migrate to Visa’s new commercial payments Hub, significantly reducing engineering effort while maintaining performance and quality. For this work, he received Visa’s “Iconic Innovator” award at the CMS Product Development Awards in May 2025, nominated by the division’s Senior Vice President.
In 2024, Kharche was named co-inventor, with three colleagues, of an AI-driven framework that automates translating business requirement documents into working code. This innovation was formally recognized under Visa’s Intellectual Property Program. In 2025, Visa University designated him a GenAI Ambassador for his mentoring and knowledge-sharing within the company’s generative AI community.
Beyond Visa, Kharche was inducted as a Distinguished Fellow of the Soft Computing Research Society in 2026, an honor held by a select group of its global members. He also serves as an Assessor for incoming Fellow applications and is active as a peer reviewer for international technology conferences and journals in artificial intelligence and financial technology.
Earlier in his career, Kharche helped stabilize and modernize a national payment platform supporting child support collection and disbursements across the United States. His team’s integration of modern digital payment methods significantly improved the speed at which funds reached families. From modernizing legacy financial infrastructure to championing responsible AI adoption, Kharche’s work consistently focuses on building payment systems that are fast, secure, and dependable at global scale.
