Few leaders in India’s consumer retail space today carry the depth and diversity of experience that Pranchal Srivastava brings, hands-on P&L ownership across volatile markets, cross-geography experience spanning 60+ countries and 35+ sectors, and a consulting career advising Fortune 500 CXOs through some of the most disruptive years in global consumer business. It is this rare convergence that defines both his leadership philosophy and his business building instincts.

Pranchal built his cross-market intuition the hard way navigating volatile economies in the Middle East early in his career, leading business development across Africa during the Ebola epidemic, and managing P&Ls in conditions where strategy and on-ground execution had to move in lockstep. This exposure, across income segments, channels, and consumer cultures, gave him a practical understanding of consumer behaviour that no single market could have offered.

As a consultant, he worked directly with Fortune 500 CXOs on post-Covid demand revival and was instrumental in building e-commerce businesses from the ground up to $400M in scale. His approach was always the same analytical rigour at the strategy level, commercial discipline at the execution level.

He now brings that full toolkit to Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd., where he serves as Chief Business Officer and Business Head for the Luxury Brands portfolio- overseeing The Collective, Polo Ralph Lauren, Hackett London, Ted Baker, and Fred Perry. The business spans 50+ destinations, a workforce of over 600 people, and a growing e-commerce presence. His mandate: build a credible, differentiated luxury retail platform in India while delivering sustainable profitability.

Prior to this role, he served as Senior Vice President at the Chairman’s Office of Aditya Birla Group, leading the strategic agenda for the Group’s consumer, fashion, retail, jewellery, and textiles businesses under the direct leadership of Mr. Kumar Mangalam Birla, a role that further sharpened his ability to operate at the intersection of Group-level strategy and business reality.

His academic foundation is equally strong. An engineering gold medallist with 20+ research publications and a Young Researcher’s Award, he went on to pursue his MBA at ISB, where he discovered his core passion for building brands from zero to scale. He supplemented this with studies at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, focusing on analytics-powered strategy, a combination that continues to define his leadership approach.

Outside his core role, Pranchal mentors early-stage founders and advises consumer businesses on strategy, extending the same rigour he applies internally in his businesses to the broader ecosystem. Beyond his operational role, he actively contributes to industry conversations through panel discussions and shares insights on his Substack & LinkedIn platforms.

His recognition by the Indian Achievers’ Forum reflects a career that has consistently connected the dots between global perspective and local execution and a leader who is now channelling that experience into shaping India’s consumer retail future.
