Sanjeev Kumar is a distinguished technology leader and currently serves as Head of Data & Infrastructure at Rome Protocol. With more than 23 years of global experience, he brings deep expertise in Data Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, Blockchain, Systems Engineering, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Over the course of his career, he has architected and delivered large-scale data warehouses, high-performance pipelines, and resilient cloud-native platforms powering mission-critical systems across transportation, agriculture, aviation, and emerging blockchain ecosystems.
Sanjeev has consistently demonstrated the ability to design and execute end-to-end data strategies,spanning infrastructure planning, architecture design, automation, monitoring, and enterprise-scale deployment. At Bayer Crop Science, he led the development of enterprise-grade data pipelines integrating Climate Corp platforms with Bayer’s global data ecosystem. His work enhanced data accessibility, automated prescription generation for research farms, and strengthened geospatial analytics capabilities for international teams.
Earlier, as an original contributor to an advanced Airport Management System, Sanjeev designed a unified platform offering comprehensive visibility into airport layouts, ground operations, infrastructure assets, and regulatory systems. The solution significantly improved operational efficiency, asset tracking, maintenance planning, safety coordination, and stakeholder communication. He also played a key role in developing GIS-based traffic management systems for government agencies across the NY-NJ-CT tri-state region, contributing to operational command centers and the 511NJ real-time traffic platform, enhancing congestion analysis, emergency response, and commuter safety.
At Rome Protocol, Sanjeev leads the design of secure, scalable cloud infrastructure supporting blockchain sequencing services and decentralized applications, ensuring performance, cost optimization, and resilience. A Senior Member of IEEE and a member of the Forbes Technology Council, he is passionate about leveraging emerging technologies to build scalable, socially impactful digital infrastructure while mentoring the next generation of technology leaders.
