Dr. Dhanashree Bhelose’s journey began with an unwavering belief in the power of science to heal the planet.
An accomplished environmental scientist, she brings deep expertise in biosciences, biodegradability and compostability testing, product end-of-life management, environmental diagnostics, and scientific leadership. With over 13 years of multidisciplinary experience, she has built a distinguished career at the intersection of scientific innovation, environmental stewardship, and organizational excellence. She holds a Ph.D. in Life Sciences (Microbiology) from the University of Mumbai, reflecting her strong foundation in applied and industrial microbiology.
But her journey did not stop at research – it evolved into leadership.
Recently appointed as Partner & Technical Director at Enviro Remediation & Research Laboratory (ERRL), she now leads scientific strategy, analytical excellence and research-driven transformation, advancing India’s capabilities in environmental testing, remediation technologies and sustainable materials innovation.
Across her career, Dr. Dhanashree has consistently demonstrated the ability to build high-performance scientific teams, establish advanced analytical capabilities, and steer organizations toward innovation-driven growth. During her nearly decade-long tenure at Intertek, where she rose to Head of Biosciences, she led global sustainability programs, pioneered product and method innovation, and strengthened operational and technical excellence across multiple global divisions. Her leadership uniquely integrates deep scientific expertise with strong commercial and strategic influence, driving measurable growth and performance.
She has been honoured with the Pride of Bharat Award 2025 for Environmental Leadership and Scientific Excellence and the Employee of the Year – South Asia (2023) award.
A passionate advocate of science-led sustainability and an innovator at heart, Dr. Dhanashree has authored multiple publications and holds nine patents spanning nanotechnology-driven environmental solutions, biodegradation, effluent treatment and advanced product development. Her internationally presented research on ferrofluid-based wastewater treatment in Japan underscores her global recognition.
She remains committed to accelerating India’s transition toward a circular, waste-free economy by advancing innovative, science-backed solutions for responsible waste management and environmental resilience.
