Thanigaivel is a distinguished logistics professional with over two decades of experience across global shipping and supply chain organizations. His career began with P&O Nedlloyd as a Shipping and Logistics Executive, where he steadily rose through the ranks and became part of Maersk, building deep expertise in global logistics operations.
A defining milestone in his career came in 2009 during his tenure at Agility, when he successfully established a logistics back office in Madurai. At a time when Tier-2 cities were not considered viable for global logistics operations — and when Madurai itself lacked even an operational airport — this initiative challenged industry conventions. Launched as a pilot project, it proved that high-quality, global logistics services could be delivered from non-metro cities. This initiative not only set an industry benchmark but also contributed meaningfully to nation building by creating skilled employment opportunities, decentralizing growth from metros, and demonstrating the potential of Tier-2 cities in India’s global services landscape.
He later continued his impact at 20Cube, where he led and supported multiple global back-office and finance transformation initiatives, enabling operational efficiency and scalable global support models.
Currently at FOSDesk, Thanigaivel is driving a transformative operating model for the logistics industry. He is addressing the long-standing challenge of inward-focused logistics structures by enabling organizations to become sales- and customer-service-oriented at their front offices, while migrating non-customer-facing and documentation-intensive activities to India.
