Mr. Mahesh V is the Executive Director of Manufacturing Operations at NCR Atleos Chennai plant. He is also the Chairman of the Madras Management Association Chengalpattu Chapter and is a part of Tamil Nadu committee of Indo American Chamber of Commerce.
His tenure is marked by a steadfast commitment towards sustainable results in on-time delivery and maintaining rigorous quality and regulatory standards. His persistent push and lead by example approach drive the team to look beyond conventional process and arrive at creative solutions.
This includes being instrumental in scaling the factory operations from a domestic manufacturer to global focus plant with more than 350M$ annual manufacturing activity and establishing global capability centers putting India activity on global map.
As a company’s “conscience”, he champions and develops the ethical, environmentally friendly, and community-minded aspects of the business. Leveraging his role in the company’s country CSR leadership committee and sustaining commitment towards giving back to society, he has championed several projects including building schools, providing ambulance, medical/ food kits for villages/ hospitals etc.
Prior to joining NCR, Mahesh worked in BPL Engineering Ltd, where he handled challenging responsibilities in new product development and R&D. He drove cost control through value engineering, target costing and introduction of new technologies for operational improvement.
He also worked as a research assistant in National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli for a brief period before he moved to BPL Engineering.
He graduated from the University of Calicut, India with a B. Tech (Honors) degree in Mechanical Engineering. He later pursued MBA in Operations from IGNOU, India. Besides having a Black Belt certification in Six Sigma methodologies, his continuing education includes certifications and executive leadership courses from eminent educational institutes like, the Indian Institute of Science, University of Georgia and University of Michigan.
His moment of jubilation is when winning happens through teamwork with positive contribution, seeing things from an inimitable perspective, comprehending relevant strategy and driving home with resourceful execution.
His way of relaxing includes jamming with guitar and harmonica while on some other occasions, it is spending quality time in educational research and community development.
