Pakur district, situated on the north-east edge of Jharkhand state, is full of natural canopyand covered with greenery in the lap of Rajmahal hills. Developed as the modern cradle of technology, knowledge, employment oriented activities. Established by the Department of Higher & Technical Education, Government of Jharkhand, this institute also holds the same place for its director, Mr. Abhijit Kumar, which was once Mahamana Malaviya ji used to keep for Banaras Hindu University. Approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and affiliated to Jharkhand Technological University (JUT), Ranchi, Pakur Polytechnic is well known for its three-year Diploma Engineering course. Here is a system of quality education in Metallurgy, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Mining engineering. Enrollment in any course can be taken in two ways. First J.C.E.C.E.B of Jharkhand Government. Direct enrollment to the seats for Management Quota can be done through Joint Entrance Test and secondly through PPCET (Pakur Polytechnic Common Entrance Test).
Pakur Polytechnic is committed to the successful placement of its students. The process of placement starts when they reach the final semester, so that students are selected before the completion of the course. Pakur Polytechnic has created a record of 82% placements in the year 2021. Companies in which students have been selected, they are – Arcelor Mittal, John Deere Tractor, East India Technologies, Yazaki, Nouman Industries, SKH, Viraj Profiles, NBC Bearings, Innodaya Preceptor, Zenus Group, Bajaj Motors, J.B.M. Group, Shree Cement, Aashi India Glass L. etc.
The institute’s own production unit, registered with the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprise (MSME), Government of India, is such a system in the field of self employment that it definitely establishes it ahead of other institutions. With this, the meritorious, poor and underprivileged students of the local society, along with the students studying here, also participate and learn the skills of self-employment, self entrepreneurship and marketing. They develop the Leadership quality in themselves.
Through these qualities, in the coming time, these children can not only get employment on the strength of their own entrepreneurship, but can also create employment for other unemployed people.
Pakur Polytechnic has developed such machines and tools within a short time of its establishment which is useful for the people. The concept behind this is – students and teachers together develop some new things in the labs and workshops here.
