What inspires her to make change is the fact that we cannot demand change unless we do not stand and refuse to state that things aren’t working the way it is supposed to be. Hence, we are the ones who have to make the change sustainably. And hence since her bachelor’s, she’s been working with NSS, AWID. Doing master’s in social work, she has expanded learning and work in the field of HIV/AIDS and was an exchange student at HAN University for sustainable developmental goals.

Currently, she’s practicing. Having completed her clinical training in the field of mental health, she wishes to bring the change in the manner people view mental health concerning neuropsychiatric conditions and spreading the word that health is an overall term and therapy is an integral part of it. Studying and practicing at NIMHANS, she strives every day to make sure her clients and their families get better. She spreads the word by joining platforms, mentoring, collaborating, and at times conducting awareness programs. She knows the process is gruesome and time-consuming but she does not wish to stop unless every individual understands the importance of mental health, infection management and the need to understand about neuro-psychiatric conditions. Their families empathize with them, thereby improving the quality of life and reducing the disability-adjusted life years. This way they also create a change in the society at large.
