She has been part of Institutions namely Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), the mind Research foundation, IIM-Bangalore, Harvard and more. Ms. Sneha is also an author of three books. With handled over 1500+ cases, she currently run her own clinic, her online firm, a better you foundation, work at two universities and has been a regular mental health awareness speaker. She is an Accredited Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society. Along with her master’s degree, she has a Diploma in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and an E-positive psychology course from the University of Pennsylvania.
Apart from her professional work, she runs her organization called – Lend An Ear. Lend An Ear is a community-based listening project. The aim of this initiative is to provide a listening space to anyone who wants to express/talk/vent.
In our busy cities, we have begun creating urban spaces that keep in mind our need for connection and community. The intention is to create the psychological space Inside the urban space for talking and listening to one another to heal whatever divides us as race, economics, gender, vocation, religion, ability, etc.
With multiple collaborations and at multiple events, a station with few posters and banners will be set aside with two chairs and trained listeners from the Lend An Ear Project. The listener is offering to listen to any passerby who wants to talk, tell their story and be listened to.
Lend An Ear aims at fighting the stigma around mental health by bringing free therapeutic listening to the streets/hubs with the ease of accessibility. We already have conducted three chapters in Pune, Mumbai and Bangalore.
