Achiever's Success Story

Canvas Hues

Rachna Gupta a first generation entrepreneur and Founder of Canvas Hues, Center for Fine Art. Her passion is to celebrate aesthetics in day to day life and make fine art accessible to all. She is a “Chitra Kala Sangam” awardee and envisions to impart visual communication skills to professionals & children in impressionable age. Her approach to digitalization of teaching methods during lockdowns, in a personal field like painting skills, have earned many a patron accolades.

Rachna grew up in a humble background in the backlanes of Muzaffarnagar town of UP.  She started her career in IT and Networking after completing Masters in Computer applications. These years groomed her in handling customers, expectations,  corporate culture and the importance of story telling to be successful. Fine arts had been a vocation so far but it became a channel to launch her entrepreneurial journey. She founded her Fine Arts and Education venture “Canvas Hues” in 2014.

The company started business in the field of tailor-made fine art paintings on canvas under “Tattva Masterpiece” series with Nostalgia, Harmony and Faith arts line. Rachna gets involved in design of art pieces through color combinations that reflect patrons personality or lifestyle and allows them to bring lonely corners and walls in their home or offices to life. The company has satisfied individual & institutional clientele across India, US, UK and Africa.

She regularly displays her own “Tattva Creation” work in various exhibitions and galleries along with other top artists in India and has done illustrations for a  book on Taslima Nasreen’s poems. She supports GOI’s Make in India initiative.

Rachna’s passion to impart similar skills to more people and help them become successful in life made her start the education line called “Kaleidoscope”. She partners with schools in and around neighbourhood to teach students the art of storytelling using visual design skills. Its a new concept that progressive schools are catching up with as aware parents demand more. She runs her self organized painting classes and workshops to interested children, adults and even the aged. Fine art medium requires personal touch and handholding which was disrupted when Covid lockdowns started. Rachna transformed her methods to move the teaching of fine art to online channel while retaining the same level of personal attention and engagement. It has allowed her student base to grow out from  Bangalore neighbourhood, with participants now joining from throughout India, US, Australia, South Africa, UK and Gulf.

She also launched “Fine ART and Corporate Practices” line to partner with corporates to train professionals and middle managers on visual design skills and destressing using art as a medium.
