While Purvi’s professional career is singularly remarkable, her entrepreneurial journey is no less exciting either. It shows how a socially committed entrepreneur can revolutionize and empower the lives of financially underserved women by providing them with what they need the most – financial assistance. Pahal Financial Services Private Limited, the organization she co-founded, is a Non-Banking Financial Services Company (NBFC-MFI) that currently operates in 7 Indian states. Headquartered in Ahmedabad, it has already served more than 8 lac women borrowers.

Like little drops of water make a mighty ocean, every single role and project handled in the formative years contribute to the making of an entrepreneur. The same goes true for Purvi Bhavsar too. The formative years of her career equipped Purvi with industry competence, and were instrumental in making her the leader, innovator, and the high-flier she is. She found microfinance as an effective model for providing financial assistance to the underserved sections. 

For her pursuits, she was awarded one of the “leading women in telecom industry” during 2010-11. She was recently recognized as Top 10 women in Finance – 2020. She was selected for a scholarship program run at IIMB as a part of Goldman Sachs 10K women program-2019. She was also selected for a program run by Stanford Seed India and has received a scholarship-2019-21. She has mentored fintech start-ups as a part of Stanford Spark program apart from other impact start-ups.
