After completing MBA in Finance she worked with MNCs for 4 years, the urge to travel & her entrepreneurial instincts motivated her to quit the job and start a company of her own. Madhumita and her partner formed Madvik Retreat & moved to Goa in Oct 2020. 

The main objective of Madvik Retreat is to handpick old or dilapidated houses and renovate it into a luxury homestay by focusing on best quality services. The main roadblock in the initial stages was to form a strategy and team to select the ideal location for their first homestay. Seeing an opportunity in this sector after the Covid 19 pandemic impact, Madvik picked an old Goan house & renovated it into a luxury 3bhk homestay villa with private pool, terrace garden & all resort style amenities.

Now all their villas are situated in the prime location of Goa.After receiving an amazing response from the customers and almost 80% + occupancy in the early months Madvik picked another old abandon house in Calangute & renovated it into a luxury 4bhk villa with entertainment zone, giant length swimming pool & all top rated amenities. Amidst second wave of the pandemic, lockdown & extreme rains Madvik kept moving forward keeping their goal in mind which is to be a worldwide name in the hospitality industry.

Seeing the scope of work in this industry Madvik Retreat is moving ahead in expanding to new locations & looking forward to cover major tourist destinations in India by the end of 2022. 

Madhumita wants to cater to tourists across the globe and aims at making Madvik Retreat a worldwide Indian hospitality brand by focusing on luxury stays, ideal location (both national and international) and best quality services
