Gayatri Narasimhan founded Prakramika Institute in Chennai in 2014 with an objective to cater to the needs of Children with Special Needs and undertake other related activities.
Gayatri Narasimhan, a passionate Special Educator and Vocational Trainer. She is a Post-Graduate in Psychology besides having specialization in Yoga as therapy, handwriting modification, sensory therapy, Behavior modifications and related professional qualifications. She is working in this field for 12 years. The areas of her expertise include strategical teaching of academics to children with learning disabilities, imparting life skills/vocational training to children with Autism, Cerebral Palsy and downsyndrome. She also empowers Parents so that the children get complete support system.
As a service, she has trained many children (including children from Oman) in various vocations like Printing, bouquet with handmade chocolates, industry related vocations, art and craft related vocations, front office management and many more..
She recently helped the family of a well-trained Omani Child in setting up his independent Gift Shop, a first of kind in Oman. Currently, she has taken initiatives for establishment of a full-fledged “vocational centre” for children with special needs in collaboration with Oman organisations and Oman Government.
She conducted comprehensive vocational training, including setting up vocational institutions, in many places in India for special educators, teachers, parents and care givers of Children with Special Needs.
Prakramika Institute has joined hands with many organisations in conducting vocational training to rural sector and NGOs who work for Children with Special Needs, under the aegis of Atmanirbhar, a Government of India initiative.
Gayatri is also trained Yoga Instructor, having undergone Advanced Teachers Training in Andiappan Yoga Institute in Chennai. She has imparted Yoga training to Children with hearing and speech impairment. She has been regularly conducting International Yoga Day sessions in one of the Indian Social Club in Oman, every year.
In recognition of her services for the cause of Children with Special Needs, Gayatri was awarded SevaRatna by Sri Sanjay SaiSevaOrganisation International Oman Chapter in 2018.
