Entrepreneurs are hard to delineate, but his work shaped a credence to the definition of an entrepreneur
A sporadic blend of science and business, Mr. Vivek Kempraj is an exceptional paradigm alike few elite members in this group. He grew up in a business family that had risk-taking embedded in its DNA. Unknowingly, he was on the path to take risk and make people sense the metamorphosis in their lives. He is a fêted name in socio-entrepreneurship. His research work and patents during his Bachelors study pushed him establish a company at the age of 23. Then on, Mr. Vivek completed his Masters in Biochemistry from the University of Mumbai and was offered a full-scholarship to pursue his Ph. D by the ARC-ITTC at Macquarie University, Australia.
His concern about farmers lives and the environment led him to conceive the idea of ‘Biowave Resources LLP’. This company aimed at developing organic pest control solutions offering farmers a friendly sustainable solution that safeguarded their health and the environment. Similarly, he started Kempmann Bioorganics LLP to solve problems in the agriculture sector in 2016. This company had a vision to develop spray-free solutions for pest control and collaborated with an Israel company to develop solutions for fruit flies with grants from ‘Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’ in 2015. Collaboration with Safal and Indian Gherkin Export Association aided development of more products for the welfare of farmers. He has received funding from BIRAC for development of environmentally friendly pest control products. He recently started a company Nutraavi LLP to counter malnutrition in Indian children. His eye for social causes through entrepreneurship has ordained a new meaning in defining an entrepreneur.
In the span of his career, he has published many research articles in prestigious scientific journals and is awarded many national and international patents. He also has various achievements to his credits including i3 Innovation Award 2011, Edita David Memorial Award 2016, ARC-ITTC PhD Scholarship 2017, Macquarie University EEPP Scholarship 2017 and BIRAC Funding 2019 and is heading in the direction to change more lives through entrepreneurship.
