Karuna, as he is known, is an expert in start-ups and turn around, having been involved in leadership roles in setting up Transamerica and in the turnaround of Bajaj Finance Ltd. Using the same expertise and a vision to make organised finance accessible for unbanked/ under banked customers, Mr. V Karunakaran along with Mr. Srinivas Kantheti and Mr. Ratheesh K B founded Bike Bazaar in the year 2017.

Bike Bazaar’s proposition is founded on the principle of two-wheeler lifecycle management. The company provides a range of affordable solutions along the two-wheeler lifecycle, driving mobility for working families including financing to purchase new and pre-owned two wheelers, access to green bikes, insurance, servicing and spare parts management and a transparent marketplace for pre-owned two wheelers.

Bike Bazaar has already built a strong foundation through its lending business, that addresses both used and new two wheelers. This foundation has helped the company build traction amongst its customer base. The core of Bike Bazaar Finance is Impact Funding i.e funding to make an impact in the lives of customers by enhancing their mobility and productivity.

Today Bike Bazaar has fulfilled the dreams of more than 2.5 Lac+ customers by providing them easy, affordable and customized financing options to own a two-wheeler; and have successfully disbursed loans more than INR 1200+ crores

Currently Bike Bazaar is operational across 120+ Cities which include major Metros such as Pune, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai & Delhi with a plan to spread their footprint across 200 cities PAN India within the next three years

Mr. V Karunkaran is currently serving as the Joint Managing Director at Bike Bazaar where he oversees the entire operations of Bike Bazaar. On a personal front Karuna is a very passionate sportsman; EPL being his favourite.
