The Coronavirus pandemic may be the biggest test facing world leaders for a generation. Mr. Kathayat’s leadership style in a crisis has resonated with people. During the pandemic, he took the challenge, an additional responsibility as COO, of turning around a group company. He modelled his strategy for turn around and redefined the role of the Leader.
His messages have been clear and consistent and people have listened. He made detailed maps of the area to help with the rescue effort and co-ordinated closely with engineers on the surface.
