Mr. Saraf achieved global benchmark by setting up one of India’s first indigenous plant that processes fruits and vegetables using lyophilization (commonly known as freeze drying technology)

He has been closely associated with various professional bodies such as Confederation of Indian Industries, since his early days.

He has been a guest speaker at the Confederation of Indian Industry to talk on his experience in venture financing and technology upgradation. He has also been invited as guest speakers in various premium B-Schools of our country like Nirma, IIM and ISB. Cornell university has also done a case study on Saraf Foods Ltd.

He has over 30 years of experience in international marketing, travelling globally to connect with markets and buyers to analyze trends and has promoted Saraf Foods Ltd. Saraf Foods Ltd was initially set-up as a 100 % export-oriented unit.

It was under his guidance and leadership that the company achieved stellar growth numbers in manufacturing of freeze-dried fruits and vegetables, being the pioneer to manufacture these products in India. A project close to his heart, he was involved in the preparation of the project report, identification of financiers, dealing with financial institutions, identification of machinery suppliers and handling machinery suppliers. Started as a freeze drying unit, Saraf Foods now has now diversified into Air drying and has also done backward integration by adding IQF capacity. The core being freeze drying it goes without saying that the company has also expanded its freeze drying capacity to 6 folds.
